Is GM artificially limiting Camaro Sales?

There are not really any available to buy.

For a 23, check some Detroit area dealers. Use zip 48180. I’ve seen plenty

According to cars.com there are 96 within 100 miles of the zip you posted. Within 100 miles of Salem or 97306, there are 2

And that’s just any Camaro, any trim. Nationwide there are 114 LT1 coups. 11 of which are blue, 9 automatics. None with the options I want. Nationwide. I do have an order waiting allocation for a 2024. We will see if it gets picked up.

Why can’t the ordering process be as easy as Tesla? I currently have a Tesla absolutely the easiest car buying experience in my life.

That was my issue 4 months ago and I ended up giving up on the M6 and got my car at a decent price, with all I wanted, but the manual.

I think this is the new normal, all inventories will be low in general and you get what they give you.

Bingo! Less inventory on hand, fewer options/packages, less chassis platforms. Overall, less complexity. Problem is for us. We are used to walking through huge lots and going home w a car no longer then 2 days later. New norm will be more build to order, longer lead times and more frustration for us. However, being more lean is more profitable for the OEM

Gm does have far too many options, trims, and packages. Tesla has 3 trims, like, 5 colors, 3 options that can be ordered.
I’m totally fine with ordering and waiting. But, it’s not like place your order and you will get it. It’s place your order, maybe GM will think about building it, then maybe actually build it.

Are they actual cars or "in transit" phantoms? I wasted a lot of time last year on the in transit nonsense before finding a real car I could actually buy.

Many of them are. One, a dealer wanted to sell me it was in transit, then told me it was actually already spoken for. So, there are even less than that, maybe. for a car that supposed to be not selling well, one would think there would be a lot on dealer lots. They are not selling well because none are being manufactured?

Yep, you can sell 10 cars at 2k profit or 2 cars at 10k profit. 8 buyers priced out.
I mean it makes sense. The issue is the prices going up non stop. I wonder if we will crash the car market...

the entire economy is going to crash soon. For someone who believes nothing good will come soon, I sure am not preparing.

Not sure how big your dealers allocation is ,but you may want to put an order in at a larger dealership. i ordered a 23 LT1 on June 18th, it arrived at my dealer Aug 3rd. VOM, RS, M6,Recaro's ,NPP ,Tech package etc so not a stripper. It never appeared on the Chevy locator as in transit, i don't think they are really maintaining that site much these days. Anyway maybe the stars lined up but six weeks was lightning fast. Might not be the case on 24, but my dealer is Rydell in Northridge CA, ask for Bob Torres great guy have bought many Chevy's from him over the years and got it for window sticker plus 1750.00 in rebates.
