If you want a ZL1 you better get your order in NOW. TODAY! As in, the very second your nearest dealer unlocks the doors you need to be there with your checkbook in your pocket ready to put some money down to lock in a purchase order.

The dealer was unsure when I placed my order. My car built out for 71,xxx, the dealer put 73,xxx. He said it always shows plus or minus but has never seen the minus.

You're on a waiting list to place an order? I'd call or email some other dealerships. I emailed a few of them on a Sunday, immediately got two replies and willingness to submit a workbench order immediately, one of them without a deposit.

I don’t know if you asked different questions but, I contacted nearly all Chevy dealers in the northwest.. and a few much farther. I do have a GM workbench form copy.
Also interestingly on the trim code it says 1LZ/1SS

At what point should your dealer be informed of change in status, etc? If my TPW was this week, should I wait to contact them next week with updates? I assume 3800 is the most important.

I'm learning, too! Just sharing what I've learned. I haven't done a GM order since my Firebird in 1994! ��

Basically at 1100 or 1101, we are waiting on an allocation to be given to the dealer we placed the order with. Once that allocation is given and assigned to the order, it's code 2000. Once it's in the factory's queue, that's 3000. 2000 is great because it means your car will be built. 3000 is great because it means your car has a predicted birthday at the factory.
