My daughter and son in law have purchased a 1 post lift for his BMW M2, they are building a new house and their lot just isn't wide enough for the 3rd garage, they had a 3 car in their previous house but he didn't want to have to walk around a 4 post in the new one so he found these single post and purchased one of those. This is not his exact lift but a similar lift to the one he purchased. That might be an option for someone in a similar situation.

I've got a Rotary two post but have toyed with adding a 4 post to the mix. It sure is nice to just drive on and lift vs getting down on all fours to position the arms. Unless you're doing suspension work, or dropping the motor and trans out the bottom (which, imo, is harder than doing it old school on these cars), nearly any chore can be done just as easily on a 4 post

I agree, I have a QuickJack and it can be a pain lining up both sides Just right back-and-forth , much easier just to drive on and then once in the air you can use a jack if needed

I have an Atlas 8000 extra tall. I had to build ramp extenders to keep from scraping with both my 68 Camaro and the 23 ZL1. The 68 would be fine if it weren't for the exhaust cutouts. Atlas has a distributor in northern New Jersey so I was able to pick it up and save shipping.

Bendpak HD9

I have the Bendpak HD9. It’s the second HD9 I have purchased and they both work very well.

This thread is well timed as I’m looking for a lift right now!!! I just started looking and found this one I almost purchased…..it would have been a mistake based on everyone’s input here.

To those who have posted pics of their lifts...What are the ceiling heights of your garages?
Thank You

I have the Bendpak HD-9XW and it has been perfect. The aluminum 48” ramps (standard ramps are too steep) are perfect and no scraping. Had the lift since 2014 and no issues. Can move the lift as well with the wheel castor kit. No regrets at all. I have 14’ ceilings in my garage.

My ceilings are 13 ft now. But if the 5 homes I’ve lived in with my lift I have used it in one garage that was as low as 8ft 7 in. In that house I fit a Viper and a C5 Corvette. It totally depends on how tall your cars are.

Also you might want to locate the garage door opener to a wall mount version. My ceilings are 13 feet.
