You buy a high performance car that has a high performance manual, you should, at a bare minimum read that one

I mean. I can understand those that bought it used. Because some owners decide to take the owners manual(s) out and throw them away or leave them in the house somewhere.

But still, you have forums like this or social media to help guide you on all the features that your vehicle has.

Now, the Ram TRX has a truly hidden feature where you can make it 2wd as that's not talked about anywhere in the owners manual. Since it doesn't have 2HI on the transfer case selector and is supposed to be 4wd all the time.

You can also hold the traction control button down for 7-10 seconds to turn off even more traction control Nannie’s than a single press of the TC button.

Jesus PTM modes been around since the C6 Corvette ZR1. The 5th gen ZL1 had them too.

I downloaded this two years ago. It's very informative but unfortunately has many ambiguities. For example:

1. Also note, it is possible to lock Steering, Suspension and Exhaust sound into specific modes, using Infotainmemt settings menu.

Not on my car.

2. 1) ALL NANNIES OFF (no traction control, no yaw control via StabiliTrak system, eLSD in mode 2 (details in HP supplement and below). TO ENGAGE THIS MODE: press TC button and hold it for 5 seconds until both TC and StabiliTrak symbols light up on a dash. With this mode you're on your own but eLSD will still assist especially in exits. But other than that, it is up to your talent to control any over slip, or loss of grip!

I've been holding TC down until both lights come on but am never sure what's on and off.

3. 2) COMPETITIVE MODE

Same power as "nannies off?"

4. PTM - RACE: This one is pretty self-explanatory, it’s as fast as we know how to make the car go.

As fast, faster, or the same as Nannies off and competitive mode? Also, unlike the video posted earlier here, it doesn't address precisely how to activate PTM, which I've never been able to do.

Part of the problem here is applying this road course article to a straight-line car.

I'm not sure anyone could argue there is a better one. I learned SO MUCH from that composition. Much respect.

1. Also note, it is possible to lock Steering, Suspension and Exhaust sound into specific modes, using Infotainmemt settings menu.

Go into the vehicle settings and (with you being a ZL1 1LE) will see steering and exhaust. It'll say auto (meaning what mode you select with the selector button it'll default to that), stealth (exhaust only) tour, sport and track. If you select sport for steering, for example, then no matter what mode you have selected with the mode button, the steering will stay in sport.
I've been doing things like with my car for years. Leaving the steering in tour with the suspension in sport and exhaust in track (out of the neighborhood) or tour (in the neighborhood) while having the mode selected as track.

2. 1) ALL NANNIES OFF (no traction control, no yaw control via StabiliTrak system, eLSD in mode 2 (details in HP supplement and below). TO ENGAGE THIS MODE: press TC button and hold it for 5 seconds until both TC and StabiliTrak symbols light up on a dash. If you held the TC button down for more than 5 seconds and the traction control and stability control lights come on. Then you have disabled them. If you're unsure.....just get those lights on while at a stop, have the car in gear and just smash the throttle.

3. 2) COMPETITIVE MODE

TC is disabled but the SC is still active. Good for the road course, not for the drag strip or straight line stuff.

4. PTM - RACE: This one is pretty self-explanatory, it’s as fast as we know how to make the car go.

As you know, this is a road course car. The only PTM mode for drag racing is PTM race. Sport comp and every other PTM mode was made for the road course. So that a driver could build confidence in making the car taking a turn or coming out of a corner.

As I mentioned, put the car into track mode then press the TC button once and then once again a second later. It's not a quick double press.

Now you have a highly modded car so I don't know if the tuner may have screwed up some features with the tune.

In Track mode with TC off and ST on might be the way for me to go. I've driven it in Track/off/off and it's always on the edge while on TOYO, but it's OK on MT.

I'll try your steering and suspension directions. Thx

It’s not just 1LEs. It’s all ZL1s. Anyone whose road course raced their car should already know this menu well. I can’t imagine road coursing the car without using them.

I tried race at the dragstrip twice, and it wouldn't let me do a burn out, even though traction off light was on. Just a heads up
