Ground Effects Package?

Hey guys, tried to place an order but the dealer couldn't find any codes for any of the ground effects options.

Anyone know what's going on with these?

If they will not be available whats the best aftermarket kit thats closest to stock?

Would a dealership install for a reasonable price?

ACS Composites gets my vote. Used their stuff on my C7GS.

Check out OEM part numbers for ground effects here: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-2023...ground-effects

ACS Composites are supposedly the creme de la creme. I have an OEM splitter, high quality ZL1 style side skirts from C7 Carbon and a very nice, perfectly fitting diffuser (despite the low price) from Next Gen Speed (alas, I don't think they have an equivalent diffuser for the 2019+ Camaro).

Note also that the vast majority of aftermarket splitters and side skirts (for the SS) have a hollow bottom, so they won't look as elegant and complete as OEM, but then again, not everyone cares about the bottom view.

Did you install these yourself? Or did you have a shop/dealership do it for you?
These are going to be a must have.

Also still curious about official availability, cause ideally these will be installed when I get the car.

Dealership said they'd let me know if it pops up or not, just wondering if there is an official word.

Yes, these are very easy to install, except maybe the rear diffuser, that one is moderately easy (because the rear bumper also has to come off and you have to separate it from the diffuser and a metric ton of claw clips that hold harnesses in place).

I'd definitely just get the parts and install them myself, and on that note, these sizable body pieces can be cheaper to get via the dealership's parts department, because you don't pay shipping. A good relationship can also help in getting a better deal from them as well, for example, I was able to haggle down the splitter price to MSRP-10%, which was already a better deal with local pickup than the best online price I saw.

I installed the ones from ACS myself 3 days after I received my ride. If you go with ACS I would advise to get the rock guards also so that you can install everything at the same time. They are pricey but I think the quality is very good.

So I contacted the Chevy live chat and as far as they can see, there are no constraints or limitations on any options at this time.

Does this sound right?

It is peculiar my dealer couldn't find the option on his end. I am planning on placing another order this week, ill definitely inquire there as well.

Worst case scenario, ill get the ACS gfx. As far as installation goes, do they include a template or something ? I've never owned a new car, let alone a higher end vehicle, so I am a bit intimidated as far as working on it goes.

Certainly can't be as care free as I am with the iroc lol.

Quality aftermarket parts come with proper instructions (not some autotranslated garbage), including photos and often detailed youtube videos.

Take your time, there is no rush, line up everything 2-3-4 times if necessary, and it'll be all right. We can help if you get stuck at any of the steps.

BTW, I'm not a mechanic or even a proper car guy (been a software developer for many years now), but I managed to install everything I'd bought and the resulting quality is pretty good, especially for an amateur. Took forever, but who cares , installing exterior body parts isn't rocket science for the most part, all one needs is patience and some courage

I ordered 2022, the Ground Effects Kit in Black for SS Models with Quad Exhaust tips. Part No. 84116167. Includes front splitter, side rocker panel moldings and rear diffuser. For use with SS models with quad exhaust tips for my 2022. Cost $2,300 LPO item.

Link above is the Body Accessory Trim Package Installation
Side skirts will have Pop rivets holding the rocker brackets, double sided tape, phillips head screws front and back at the wheel well areas.

LethalGarage has a video on how to do it yourself, and Raiti's ride on his Vivid Orange SS review shows what they look. Can't recall for sure now, but the code for ordering then may have been VTD.
