On reprogramming, it's possible, but you have to unlock it. One guy was offering a service to unlock GM modules for around $300. A brand new module would be the same, it's shipped unprogrammed, without a specific VIN. The other thing you need is a running car to program it. An unlocked or new module needs to be installed into the car and then it's programmed for that car. So this would only work if you have a '19+ car that's exactly the same as your car you can use to program the new or unlocked module.

A few of us have done this successfully so it's possible... as cheap as the modules are in junkyards or ebay, maybe try again with a different one?
Good point about needing a '19+ car to train a brand new EBCM, unfortunately I don't have access to this option so it looks like I'll need to try another used EBCM. For the used EBCM, is there important matching criteria beyond the three items listed below? 1SS vs 2SS? Dual mode exhaust?

-'19+
-Transmission (MT vs. AT)
-SS 1LE configuration

According to the GM engineer, the cars need to be identical except for model year and, I assume, paint color. All options need to be exactly the same.

Just wanted to say thanks to those in this thread for helping me out with this. Indeed, the problem was I had installed a EBCM from a 2SS. I was able to locate a 1SS module and installed just the electronics in about 45 mins, no codes or other issues on startup. Anybody want to buy a 2SS ABS module(2020, MT), let me know??

At the track this weekend I experienced zero ice mode problems, was able to regain some confidence in key brake zones(Mosport T3 & T5), and won the overall event PAX plus new class track record. Booya!

Great to hear the new module worked, and congrats on the win and new record!

Given you're not a 1LE I'd caution to say that it won't work given the computer would looking for an e-diff.

Makes sense, I'll have to get into some research and find the proper part for my car.

Glad you found a fix. Where did you search for the proper module. I tried finding one for myself. 18 1LE no pdr. Could not find any results. Any tips on the search?

Check the following website which is a consolidator for auto wreckers across North America. Most wreckers will list the VIN of the vehicle which the part was extracted from and then you can google for the vehicle specifications to find a match. Call the wrecker to make shipping/payment.

eBay is another place to check. This one might work but you would have to call or message the seller to ask for the VIN and/or details about the car it was pulled from to see if everything matches your car.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/285298490542

ABS pump and ABS module are two good search terms to try.

Well, despite the 2019 EBCM ABS module from a ZL 11 LE, I still have ice mode just as bad as before, in less than a half a day of tracking, it reared its ugly head again and once again
I went into the gravel and I was only about a foot away from slamming into a dirt embankment…

I’ve tried everything I know now; applying the brakes gently, leaving a little bit of time between throttle and Brake application, reducing brake pad fiction (Albeit only slightly from hawk 70 to 60)… the only thing I have not tried yet is slicks…

If this point, I am never going to the track again, unless I can convince myself that there is an obvious feel safe answer, since there has been about three or four times now (each time I’ve gone lately) that I’ve ended up only a few feet away from many thousand of dollars worth of damage. And the psychological toll it has taken in terms of not having confidence in my car when heading into corners at high speeds it’s getting extremely hard to overcome.
