GM Employee Discount Issues on 23 SS’s.

Anyone running into an issue where dealerships will give MSRP, but NOT with the GM family discount? (specifically around Jacksonville FL).

I’ll say the manager wasn’t shady, just not giving any budge.

I might have to expand my horizon but after 30 minutes, we couldn’t agree on price on an incoming car.

Might just keep my low mileage 17, and put some mods into it at this point. Since the 24s have no discount and are more expensive.

I did find out through FaceBook that dealerships do not have to accept the discount. Which is odd because don’t they get paid back for it?

MO but if you Can get MSRP on a 23 SS , that's a Great Deal , here in Arizona most if not all add to MSRP on Camaros LT1 and up . ZL1 abouts 5k . Remember there being Discontinued rare items now and has been.

It is a delaership decision to accept Gm Employee discounts. They do not get completely reimbursed for tsking the discount. I would expand your search as my local dealer does accept the GM Employee discount. There are dealers focused on the customer..

Yep, last I knew the dealer gets 5% for handling the deal. If they feel they can do better they don’t have to accept the employee discount.

When I bought my car in March the dealer honored the GMS discount. Drove about 5 hours also.

Dang! Most dealers are giving MSRP with the 750 bonus cash. But the ones that would give me a good deal do not have inventory. And GM cut the 24 discounts so, kinda stuck at a 23 if I want a deal not a rip off lol.

Expanding I shall. I’ll check them now! I’ve been using that GM inventory search thing and that is a pain to use.

Wow only 5%? No wonder they didn’t want to do it.

Did you find it in FL or another state? Lol there’s a couple in GA but I wasn’t sure if it’s worth the drive.

Now a days this feels true as could be. I should have upgraded earlier in the year. I’m a looking at the end of the 23 year run where dealers are definitely aware that sock ks low.

On it! I think my problem too is I really only want Riverside blue or Shadow Grey. Two popular colors. I don’t mind black but it’s my last choice but idk if I should go with my last choice and regret it years from now.
