I'm okay with them and I have leather seats. Level 1 is indeed useless, but 2 and 3 are good, I only need the fastest fan speed when it's 85+ outside.
I’m glad to have the vented seats in my 2SS when I’m at the drag strip since you can’t run the A/C (don’t want water dripping on the track) but they’re not very good if I’m being honest. The vented seats in my Expedition are way stronger (but loud at full speed). The Mustang gets real A/C seats, not just vented! On full tilt those will freeze your butt off…! I wish we could update the Camaro with that setup!

My ventilated seats work great and I'd never own a car with leather without ventilated seats.

Is there an auto setting for the seats? Don't remember that on mine (2016 2SS). A Canada-specific thing?

No, it's a new feature in the 2019+ 3.0 platform.

The new system supports Auto Cooled Seats, Auto Heated Seats and Auto Defog functionality that can be configured in the Climate and Air Quality section of vehicle settings, along with the Auto Fan Speed and Auto Rear Defog features that our cars with the 2.5 infotainment already has.

Frigging hilarious. I was turning into a grumpy old man well before hitting 60 last month. Now the trend is accelerating.

My wife’s Telluride has them. They work fine but my response is ‘meh.’

I wouldn’t pay extra to get them.

Last Monday I had to drive to work rather than work from home so the Camaro sat in the hot sun all day. Temps were high as was humidity, typical Georgia summer. It was a bit warm when I got in the car but not to bad. A good tint job keeps the heat out well.

Living here in FL, the vented seats are a godsend. I never investigated them much but wondered how does the blower provide cool air if it doesn't use the A/C. Is it just blowing ambient air?

It is only ambient air as far as I know.

Yes, ambient air, but that being said.... If you are running the AC... (Cold air falls) so the fans pick up that cooled AC air and blow it up through the seat. If you are not running the AC, then yes, the blower fans are only blowing the ambient air up through your seat. If I don't need the AC on, it isn't warm enough to turn my ventilated seats on either.

Thanks Jamala and Spaceme for that info. In the spring, before the summer heat came, I love opening the windows to hear the engine and the seats providing enough cooling to keep it comfortable.

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING. With my seat all the way back I still have a good foot Infront of my back seat on the floor and it's a vert. Fran your hood figure is in paint hard to get fish scales.
