Edelbrock + MicroSquirt = precise boost?

Hi, everyone

Here's the story - I've scored a used Edelbrock kit for my 2016 V6 Camaro RS on Ebay and it's currently on its way to Ukraine. I keep my fingers crossed that the core unit is functional and I will have a somewhat working setup at least. Being somewhat new to force induction mods (I have a BMW X5 turbo, but that's different) I was doing a lot of research for the last days and realized that all supercharger mods (except for I-1 ProCharger) are controlled by the vacuum from the engine. Therefore correct me if I'm wrong but the tuner is given only one option here - increase the fuel amount to match the incoming air volume and not the other way around.

I was thinking of improving this scheme to have more control over the tuning boost amount for many reasons. The only thing I can think of at this point is piggybacking something to ECU to control the amount of vacuum that goes to the supercharger's bypass control via a solenoid. That is the way a turbo's wastegate works in my X5 so this is the first thing that came to my mind) I read about MicroSquirt and I still can't get a grasp of how this device works with the ECU and whether this scheme is possible at all. Please share your thoughts on this - possible? Worth it? Complexity? etc.

Thank you

In my recent searches I found the SmoothBoost controller and it looks like the thing I was looking for. It's still not clear whether I can connect it to an OEM ECU and the price is a kinda high, but that's something at least

It would require you to have a standalone ECU which comes in a kit.

P.S.: btw, nice to see people from Ukraine here

Thanks) Glad to see that I'm not alone from our country here. If you have any experience with custom ECU - please send me a dm and lets connect via Telegram if you don't mind
