Any reason to keep stock parts after upgrading?

I have the stock trailing and control arms sitting in my garage taking up space here. I upgraded to the BMR pieces. Do I need to keep these? Do they have any value? Or should I just recycle them?

I have the stock catback too, but I feel like there is more of a chance of putting that back on than ever putting the stock rear suspension pieces back, no?

If you ever sold or traded the car, it will be worth more if returned to original condition. It wouldn’t be fun swapping the parts back, but you could resell the performance parts while the original ones are almost worthless.

In the year 2062, they will be in high demand for restorations.

Why get rid of them as long as you have room to store them! They will be good to have and offer up if and when you sell the car! I have kept all my stock parts !

Keep the OEM parts if you can and then put them in the car if you trade or sell your Camaro. That’s what I have done over the years with the Camaros I have owned since 1982.

In my 2018 ZLE I have all the BMR stuff in the back and SPL parts in front... You should keep those parts (and do not throw them into recycling), my OEM parts only take up a small space in my garage. Like everyone said, you will need to return to stock if you sell the car or the value will be lower. And then you can sell the BMR parts.

Also, you may find that you don't like the rougher feel of the car with the BMR stuff and want to return to stock. I like it, and after adding the SPL parts it's even rougher. But only on the street, once I'm on track and up to speed the car feels perfect and more precise, not rough.

You two are not giving me much faith that I am going to be at peace with my DSSV/SPL upgrade happening next week, given my New England pothole-fest roadways I am outdriving the stock set up at the track though, so it is either time for a full race car (not happening on my wife's watch until kids are through college) or I deal with the teeth-chattering daily drives and live for the flow on the track...
