fueling suggestions
I have a 2017 camaro ss 1le.
As of now, the current mods are: full lt4 fueling (comes factory with low side, and installed lt4 high side and injectors) Whipple 3.0l stainless works 1 7/8s headers with high flow cats and cat back exhaust rotofab big gulp intake nick williams 103 tb DSX e85 sensor I'm getting 560whp on 91 pump, and 650whp on e40 Tuner says that I'm maxed out on the low side. That being said, anybody have any luck getting more power out of a similar set up? Any recommendations (outside of putting a camshaft) for better fueling options? This will eventually be cammed, with forged pistons, just not right now. |

If I had to do it again, I probably would have skipped the cam and just added port injection. The Whipple 3.0 runners can be shipped off to Katech and easily modified to add port injectors and fuel rails. Then add a TooHighPSI controller and you can rock and roll for big E85 power. Or, you can drop $10K on my Fore/LPE fuel system (still need a cam though). Up to you.

I would have to agree with Josh on this one by going with the JMS BAP to squeeze a little more out of it. I went with the alky kit before I did the lt4 highside fueling. That pretty much throws a few more ponies down for me where I'm skipping on the BAP. Probably could have gotten the same results with the BAP at a cheaper price than the meth though. lol

I would only add that see if you can figure out what your end game might be. If you have a goal in mind, spend the money and time once. So - if you're shooting for > 1000-HP, maybe an auxiliary low-side and port-injection is all you might need. BUT - if you're crazy, like Josh', then just get that FORE system in there and be done with it the first time.
It seems like the more stuff gets redone, it just leads to more unnecessary complications. Then there's the tuning and all that for each... If the $$$ isn't an issue, and you don't really have a specific goal, then maybe not much of that matters. But if your doing drop-ins and a cam, you suggest you're looking for big power (~ 1K+), and I'd lean toward a FORE instead of a low-side. Especially if you try to take advantage of E'. This sounds like it's going to be another great build. KUDOS and respect. AND - yes - get in touch with King'. He can DEFINITELY help get you on course and HELP with tuning. JMHO.

You can do a dsx aux low side pump, which i have, but it requires tapping the fuel tank. If i did it over again id go intank pump or install a bulkhead fitting in the tank. Some have complained the fuel intake in the tank with the dsx gets uncovered at lower fuel levels during hard cornering.
