Just got allocated a 2024 2SS How would you build it? - Page 3

Just so no one who hasn’t been through the ordering process misunderstands the title of this post, no dealer has been allocated any type of 2024 Camaro. The allocations come from the factory, and none have been issued yet. And even if your dealer does get an allocation, the order will be subject to parts availability and production constraints, so you may not get a car with all the options you ordered. (Ask the ZL1 buyers who couldn’t get a 2023 because the supplier couldn’t make enough rear spoilers for the car.)

As far as what to order, after owning a 1SS 1LE for three years (and knowing my track days are over), I’ve ordered a ‘24 2SS with all the performance options and a few niceties like the sunroof so I can have a little bit more of a “luxury” cruiser. Good luck with your order!

Thanks, appreciate that and I know it's a crapshoot at this point for a '24 MY. Considering I ordered a 1SS M6 back in September and it's finally due to arrive next week. Figured if it does get picked up I couldn't go wrong with it, just have to choose which car to keep. I suppose using "allocation" was incorrect in the title, should have used "wing and a prayer" instead.

The salesman at my local dealer told me on Tuesday that there are two allocations in NY for the '24 ZL1 CE and that they have one of them. So I'd say that allocations have started.

Nitro yellow is available on the 2024 Camaros.

I don't have any complicated suggestions, as all of the different Camaros drive really nice to me. From reading on this forum, I would like to suggest the following.

1) Make sure you get the Brembo brakes all around. You mentioned 2SS, so that should be an automatic inclusion, but they actually have lower 2.0T, V6, and V8 models without the Brembo in the back.

2) Get magnetic ride control. Where I am the roads are terrible. I have a lower-model 2023 with no magnetic ride control. On smooth roads, it drives great. On many of the roads near me, I would really benefit from the ability to adjust the ride control. I used to have a C6 Corvette with the Z51 handling package (which included the magnetic ride control) and that car handled the roads MUCH better.

3) AVOID factory striping/rally stripes. If you want them, get them applied after taking delivery, so you can be in control of what gets added to your car. Several people on this forum have reported that their factory stripes are wrinkled near the hood scoops, so it would be best to avoid that.

I guess everything else is personal preference. I hope you enjoy your '24 Camaro when it arrives!

I’m confused how did you order a Camaro if it’s not on GM website or your dealer just told you He can get it did he also give you the price. The reason I’m asking because my dealer told me he has an allocation but i haven’t seen the bill yet does that mean anything or we’re going to have the same issue with the 2023 Just lost Thanks
