LT1 with SS wheels

Hello all I'm new here, I was searching the web to find some pics for the setup I'm using now. My setup is stock ss rims 8.5 front and 9.5 rears, with 265/35r20 and 305/30r20 with 5mm spacers. Just thought to post this if people want to see stock vs the setup i'm using.

Looks good man. No rubbing? I have an LT1 vert and not digging the all-season rocks it came with. If I'm going to have to buy tires, I might as well get wider rims too. It's only money, rt? (lol)

I might have done that if the tire bulge was to much in the rear but it's not. I got a sweat deal on the rims and tires also.

No rubbing, I could probably get away without the spacers I just like the rims flush with the fenders.

I also upgraded to the SS wheel sizes (9.5" in rear) but also stayed with the SS tire sizes as well 245/40/20 & 275/35/20. I was thinking about going even wider and wondered what wider sizes would work well without changing overall tire diameter too much. I really like your 265/35/20 & 305/30/20 combo as it looks pretty good on that (-1.4% & -1.8% from stock LT1 tires).

However, you are over the max recommended tire width for putting those tires on SS wheel widths, right? Minimum recommended width I saw would be 9" front (265) and 11" rear (305) but it sounds like you have had no concerns or noticed any issues with going that wide on those SS wheels?

Ss rims are 8.5" front and 9.5" rear. Discount tires max for 8.5 rims 265, 9.5 is 295, so really what's 10mm taking account tire manufacturer differences in actual tire sizes. I am happy with the way the side walls look they don't look overly bulged.

Here is the front 245/40r20 vs the 265/35r20 they are WAY closer in size then the “20mm” would suggest.

Yes, and I checked out Discount Tire site and you're right - they definitely recommend a wider range tire sizes for those wheel widths than the reference I had. The tires definitely look great, and upgrading from the run flats also makes a huge difference - enjoy!
