Rotofab CAI, Whipple Supercharger and Sound Tube Delete?

I've just got my Borla Atak Axle-back installed, first mod is down. On to the next, this time I'm going to try and install a CAI myself, with guidance from another more experienced mechanic.

I have a '23 LT1. The one I am looking at is: https://www.roto-fab.com/2016-21-cam...old-air-intake

What is the Sound Tube Delete and what is the Whipple Supercharger options?

I know the difference between the Oiled and Dry and I'm leaning towards the Oiled but not sold yet on it.

Sound tube delete gets rid of the…sound tube lol. This is a tube about 1” in diameter that runs from the stock CAI to the firewall to pipe in intake sounds. As KingLT1 so eloquently said: it’s basically ricer crap. Most everyone on this board deletes theirs ASAP.

Whipple supercharger option would be selected if you had a Whipple Supercharger, not surprisingly haha. Since you are mostly stock, you would not do that option. The supercharger moves the throttle body location a little bit, so that explains the difference in the Rotofab configuration.

I was leaning towards the sound tube delete, so it just makes the sound more noticable in the cabin then is all? Guess I still don't understand that.

And I figured what the whipple was for after the fact.

I was thinking (but not sure) Chevy didn't put the sound tube on the LT1's.
Do you have a 1" hose coming out of the top the air intake hose where it makes its turn toward the engine?
If not, you definitely want the sound tube delete.
