My worst fear about the '24s came true(NOT surprised)
My dealer just reached out to me with pricing, GM has bumped up the base price on the 2SS models $3600. It's gone from $44,900 to $47,300.
I knew it was just wishful thinking they wouldn't, but this will probably kill my dream. Totally typical GM BS. Overprice the hell out of every vehicle, and if it's a last year, break it off in them. The car's worth didn't increase that much for the same vehicle that was 2023. Add to that they discontinue the color I wanted so that's an added cost, then the whole debacle of the last months ordering fiasco, THEN add to that the financing interest rates increase... I think I'm done.

I had a dealer agree to 5K deposit @ MSRP, they called me back 4 days later and advised a 40K ADM will be added if I wanted to continue with the order. This is after we agreed to everything on the dealerships recorded line.
Clearly not something I would move forward with.

Damn, I may not order a new LT1 and keep mine instead. With that much of a price increase, it will be close to $44k.

Honestly the MSRP increase is inline with the rest of the market. Inflation in the past few years is greater than the price increase on Camaros which also increased last year.
Camaros are such a good value, even WITH the MSRP increases. ADM, however, is another story.

I ultimately found a dealer with no list, agreed on a 5K ADM and placed the order with GM workbench printout provided.

All told about $2600 more for the '24 I spec'd I'll admit this is pissing and moaning, but I'm crunching numbers now and it doesn't appear to be so bleak. Any of the lot vehicles I've looked at around the state are either sold(in transit) or more expensive from either mark ups or add-ons that I really don't want. Good luck, hope you get a deal. |

I have an order submitted with a dealer for a 24 2SS CE with one person ahead of me in the dealer's queue for allocations. We didn't talk exact numbers but it was understood that there will be a mark up for my build (I am expecting 5K over MSRP) .. couple that with the $2.6K bump in base price and now I am not so excited about placing an order .. so much so that I found a 1SS 1LE incoming to a local dealer and am now in the process of (hopefully) purchasing it at MSRP (submitted a shop.click.drive offer online via Chevy's website). 50K for a 1SS 1LE is a way better value for me than what is looking like a 60K 2SS with the CE package (and assorted options) that I may or may not even be able to buy depending on how allocations are used by the dealer. The 1LE is supposed to arrive next week. If I get the car for MSRP it is a done deal. I will be perfectly happy with a '23 1SS 1LE :snap:

Suggest all with 24 orders keep their powder dry and wait for Chevrolet to announce prices.
That should be fairly soon. |
