Finally got to dealership that has gotten good reviews from here. Put down a $1000 ordering deposit. They are going to put it through on Thursday. Now............. who's going to create 'The unofficial 2024 waiting room' thread?

That riptide blue is looking enticing to upgrade to a 2SS from my 2LT…..I wish there was a price guide somewhere for the 2024s or I’m just blind.

Riptide blue is an intriguing color but GM sucks at giving their customers what they want. I actually thought about getting rid of black for the new blue but I’m not sure I wanna jump through the hoops. A riptide ZLE is appealing but the company doesn’t want my money … I have no idea what idiots are working for GM.

The ZL1 starts $10K higher than in 2018 and it's practically the same car...

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/06...age-will-cost/

Some other sites say GM didn't actually release the price info, GM Authority doesn't have a link, I hope they are wrong. That's a ridiculous year over your increase. But this is something GM has done in the past to prepare for the upcoming new model, the last year of the old model they jack the price up. So the first year the new model doesn't look so much more expensive.

Here's the actual press release and it does not list starting prices for V8s
https://media.chevrolet.com/media/us...05-camaro.html

That's 2600 more for a 1LT V6, so the GMAuthority.com price, minus $1395 destination, that's a $3605 difference from 23 for a ZL1

Confirmed yesterday I got my Riptide SS/1LE order in...so now the long wait begins.

I agree we're most likely in for a big price bump for the '24 but think it's worth the $$$ for a last year car in this color at MSRP.

I guess I better start calling dealers and see if there's any one that can put an order for me in.

I started 2 weeks ago and most of the local dealers(and not so local) are in the teens for Camaro orders, have a $5k ADM, or both. I found a small dealer that'll sell to me at MSRP but will only get a couple of allocations at best for '24. The struggle is real.

Good luck to you!

Sounds like it would be easier to just wait for a Riptide blue ZL1 A10 to show up somewhere. I doubt that's going to be a unicorn.

I don't think it will be a rare "unicorn", however, about 1000 ZL1s built a year, minus 350 for collectors editions in 2024 leaves about 650 "regular" ZL1s. Finding one that is actually available may be the killer.
