Engine bay detail. I do a lot of detailing but under the hood has always scared me. Finally decided to just do it. Pretty easy and came out great.

Thanks!

The most important thing was a speed master or EZ detail brush. Thin wire frame gets into the cracks and crevices nicely.

Used a normal detail brush for most else.

Mckee’s engine degreaser for cleaning. Stuff is stout though removed most of the red Camaro lettering from the coil covers. Would dilute 1:1 when using next time.

Lettering was lifting anyways.

To shine it up, Sonus MotorKote. Spray on after blow drying engine (MetroVac sidekick). Close hood and run engine for 5 minutes.

Self levels to a nice sheen.

Great job. Nothing like a nicely detailed engine compartment. I'm sold, going to pick up some of that Sonus Motorkote.

Looks AWESOME!!!

Funny, the first picture popped up on my screen and I couldn't see the others without scrolling and I was like "Oh my..." thinking the first picture was the "after" picture, but then scrolled and saw the real "afters", an awesome looking engine bay!

Well done! Having a clean engine bay really sets a car apart!!!

Great job! Well worth your time. I take a different approach in that I wipe down the engine bay with a damp microfiber towel as the last step of cleaning the car. That way it never turns into a big job.

p.s. - You might need to check your coolant level. It looks low unless it's a lighting issue with the photo.

This right here! If you keep up with it each time, you won't have to spend alot of time later doing it!.

And this shows how impressive the cleaning job was - normally the first reply to an engine compartment photo points out the low coolant! We were all too busy drooling over how the radiator cover got looking brand new again...

And same here on the microfiber wipe-down tip!

I installed my AutoAddict Velux tail lights. I bought my car with these knock-off Morimotos on it and they were hyper flashing since the day I bought it. I didn't mind the 19+ look, and had they been genuine Morimotos I'm sure their customer service could have done something for me, but since they were COPLUS, I bit the bullet and got the ones I wanted.

You made the right choice… those knock offs were ugly. Much better look now

Went for a drive this morning to the ATM and fill her up , she's been sitting for a few weeks
Already 109 at 11:42 am . Why I went kinda early
On way back home , in Track mode , TC an Stabil T off , standing stop nailed the throttle and she girggled stumbled, I thought hot out , so I rolled into the throttle at about 25 mph thru 2nd an 3rd no stumble, but could tell ECU was pulling timing .

So do you think girggled stumbled because it was 109 out?
When I left the gas pumps she didn't , about 30 minutes earlier.
