SOLD: PRICE DROP 18 NGM ZL1 1LE, Katech 8k RPM LT4 Street/Track
SOLD
Cliff Notes: 2018 NGM ZL1 1LE Power: 800rwhp @ 8000 RPM on 93 10psi, 10mm smaller pulley = 850rwhp @ 12 psi, have the tune done, can load it prior to sale Cooling: Road race ready, runs strong until the end of a full session, no pulling timing, ready to rock and roll. Miles: 16,600 Asking Price: $78,999 Title: Clean, in my name, car is paid off and ready to sell. PM with any direction questions, inquiries, concerns, etc. . For sale is my personal 2018 NGM ZL1 1LE. I am the second owner and purchased this vehicle with 3500 miles in near stock trim (intake and full exhaust). The car has just over 16,000 miles now, with a few thousand on the full build. I am an engineer over at Katech and this was an experimental high RPM magnuson road race package I designed. No expenses spared in the build, it will cost you the price of 2 ZL1's to recreate this. . This is a premier built, heavily but tastefully modified ZL1 1LE that can be driven across country on 93, beat to death on track, and drive back home without any issues. The base package is a Katech Stage 4 ZL1 package with a significant amount of improvements. The car has a redline of 8,000 RPM, and makes peak power there. In its current trim (15% lower, 110mm upper), it makes 800rwhp and 10 lbs of peak boost. This is an extremely efficient build that actually gains a degree of timing advance on track running 93 octane with the current cooling configuration. The car has ran on track 3 times since being built with 0 issues (Grattan, Mid Ohio, Pitt Race). The valvetrain has been validated to 9500 RPM, so there is a factor of safety for money shifts…. However, I would not recommend doing that because I’m sure the rods/pistons would leave the building. If you are not confident shifting up there, I can set the redline lower prior to sale. The tach goes to 7500, so you have to trust your ear. . The low side fuel system holds 80psi of fuel pressure with full E85, the high side fuel pump runs out of steam. If you decide to turn up the boost and run port injection, you can easily achieve much more power on ethanol. . I am looking to get $78,999 for the vehicle with the matching set of drag radials. If you want to compare my price to the market, this is not the car for you. . Build Thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=607949 . Modification list is the following: . Base Package: Katech Stage 4 Package: https://katechengines.com/i-30497576...1-stage-4.html . KATECH STAGE 4 GEN 6 ZL1 CORVETTE 950HP PKG

Did you change from the DSSV shocks as you mentioned in your build thread?

8000K shift ! With all the mods that's bullet proof, What a deal, The new owner just needs to add a remote shift light to enjoy that 1500 Rpm power, I'm not going to lie to you I love copying a successful build, it's like sitting back and watching what works and doesn't then seeing a success and saying bingo, that's what I want. I did it with a GSXR1100 with cosworth piston, etc, shorter swingarm for roadracing etc. I would love to have this car, but one ZL1 is enough, and I'm getting ready to twin turbo my 6 speed chevelle. Someone buy this car !

Is the reason the toque is about 100 foot pounds lower due to a very mild cam ? Not questioning the build at all, I figure it's mild to keep the car under control better in the corners

Torque is low because the blower is underspun, It only makes 10psi peak boost at 8,000 RPM. In the main meat of the powerband, it makes somewhere between 4-7PSI of boost, less than stock. If you throw a 90mm upper pulley on it, it will jump to 15-16PSI and make a ton more torque. When you spin the blower harder though, you lose blower efficiency up-top and it'd likely nose over around 7400 rpm. I like the low torque, 8000 RPM for road racing and street driving |
