Can we take a moment
I know most members on here are disappointed with the Camaros CE lack of upgrades, but I think gm quietly just shocked the world with the Camaro nameplate. The Camaro is going to be running in the most prestigious endurance race in the world against the most technology advanced vehicles in the WORLD. Just to have seat at the table is incredible. I know its not competing specifically against those cars but to even be on the same track (and turning faster times then the GTE cars currently) in a NASCAR spec car is incredible. The international fans are going crazy over the big V8 sound and are shocked at how fast this beast actually is. I will no doubt be watching every second of this history making event as it unfolds. gm is not abandoning the Camaro. It will be different no doubt but I still believe the soul and Motorsport heritage will still be there.

I've been watching off and on, so far and have not seen her on the Broadcast as of yet. Just a mention, that she's a Fan favorite there now. Yes, I agree with you that this is a Major event with this NASCAR Camaro. As you stated (and turning faster times then the GTE cars currently) supposedly the starting position has moved it from behind the field to between the GTE cars and the faster LMP2 cars.

Just saw the Camaro going through a slow zone at the 22:02:30 mark.
Good action shots at the 21:21:30 mark. GM rep talking about Cadillac, Corvette, and Camaro with shots of the Camaro at the 20:53ish mark.

Keep in mind, GTE class racing spec:
N/A cars ...............up to 5.5 liter engines Turbo or S/C cars ...up to 4.0 liter engines
