OK team... quick update... finally put this project back on my list... the holidays and my mom passing away required me to put this down for about 5 months :(
Starting working with Ted @ JRE again... sending him my data logs and working through the remote tuning... With the new wheels and tires, the car almost hooks perfect in 3rd from a roll. To be honest, i still dont know how much power she is making, but HOLY SHIT this thing is scary!!! Im guess shes about 770-800rwhp +/- which makes me wonder how the hell people go to 1000rwhp... She's making about 13.5 peak boost, which is just too much for the stock fuel system even with the extra fuel lobe and JMS boost a pump. We brought the ethanol down from E50 down to E30 and although we are close, rather than drop the E content further, we decided to swap the lower pulley... drop a few pounds of boost to make this work, and maybe even add a pinch more E. Im leaving Wednesday for Italy, and wont be back till June 2nd, so it will take me a while to finish working through the remote tune process before i take this to a dyno, but rest assured i will To be honest, ill might even like the car more with 50 less HP right now... feels pretty crazy at the current power level. But like everyone always says right? Right until the power becomes normal... then ill be back with Katech's new low side solution and bigger injectors .... stay tuned!

I don’t even know you, and the mention of a mother passing is heartbreaking. Your build looks amazing. Looking forward to the continuation of your thread. Good Luck

Well, I made it back home safe from our trip to Italy, Installed the smaller lower pulley. Went from a 9.17 to a 8.8 in order to keep the E to E35. Injectors pulse widths are around 6 or below, low side is holding fine... That change dropped peak boost from 13.5 to 12.5, and the car feels like it lost 50rwhp but we will find out on Saturday AM. I have a 9am appointment at HAUS in Fullerton to see where my phase.2 mods will leave me. Hoping for 765rwhp (just because it will be cool to say the car has 900hp...) but with my luck, who knows
Any guesses?

So true! Depending how the numbers look, and how quickly i get use to this power level, i think XDI 30's would be my next upgrade, that should help me squeeze out a little more E before my lowside and JMS start dropping...
Can't wait to see how much power she is making! Guess on rwhp? HAUS has a Dynojet.

Your build is nice and you proved that these upgrades are worthy of doing in you’re own garage. The experience is worth the “price of admission”. Also, my condolences to you sir. It’s tough losing a parent.

The path has been just as much fun as the destination... The car is so much fun, and I'm looking forward to knowing how much power she is actually making, I know HP numbers are only that, a number, but it is important to me. This project has been so much fun, and is in no way finished... I have a dual gauge pod going in soon, and i now feel motivated to provide the fuel system needed to run this blower back with the 9.17" lower for the blower whine alone! Shortly after sharing numbers, I'll be sharing photos of the new wheels / tires, and matte wrapped splitter, running boards and valance. Stay tuned, and thanks for the support!

you will be north of 700 whp.
We have the same cam, but I don't have the heads, ported blower, 103 tb or smaller pullies and made 690 whp on a hot humid Florida day. I would say 725. |
