2023 coolant link
I just picked up a 23 today. Put about 150 miles on it. Parked the car got out and noticed a lot of fluid on the ground. Popped the hood and the coolant reservoir is empty. It’s pouring out fast from the front driver side. Does anyone know where it could be coming from? Tried looked under the car but it’s covered with all the plastic and sits low.

There are a few things you can check that might allow you to find the source of the leak, but without sufficient coolant, you can't drive it very far without risk of overheating.
1) Shine a light around the engine bay from above to see if you can find the source of the leak. DexCool leaves a whitish residue when it dries that is also more shiny against black (rubber hoses, black plastic) surfaces. Look for a spray pattern or where areas are still wet. Most likely, there is a hose clamp that hasn't been tightened properly and it's spraying coolant once the system is hot and pressurized. 2) Look through the front grill (again with a light) and see if a foreign object has punctured the main radiator. You may not see the object stuck in the radiator vanes, but if that's what happened, you may be able to see the impact it made If your problem is a loose hose, you may be able to tighten the clamp yourself and refill the reservoir with DexCool. Otherwise you're going to need to have it towed on a flatbed to a nearby dealer. |

Saw it was leaking from the front driver side. Was able to make it to autozone 5min away. Bought a jack and borrows some of their tools. Took the fender well lining out and there behold the auxilary cooler hose on the right side of the cooler wasn’t down completely. Pushed it down no more leak. Been on the road for two hours everything seems good so far. Car holding regular temps. 15 more hours to go. Car will still see the dealer Tuesday. Thanks everyone for the suggestions

I have a 23 ZL1 with less than 1500 miles. I recently had a similar situation happen to me. My leak was coming from the lower left side of the engine block. They repaired the leak at no cost. The service manager stated this was a service recall from Chevy. Good luck.

Glad you found and (hopefully fixed) the leak. Nice job of investigating!
