Smile Big gulp

Which big gulp do you recommend? Dry or oiled? Also is anyone running a soler 103 TB?

Oiled here, but don't have a recommendation. I had a regular RF, too, with a dry. No recommendation though, except I like the extra life of the oil.

I, too, have a Soler 103.

Oiled because it basically lasts forever and cleaning is super easy when the time comes.

The Big Gulp is only avail as oiled setup. The oiled flows better and big gulp is focused on max flow available.

I asked Rotofab what element material flowed better and they said oiled, as noted big gulp only comes oiled.

I have a dry and this is my 5th or 6th, can't keep track of them. I'm a dry guy, no oil for me.

The power difference is minimal between them. I have a dry on mine but if I was serious about making power at the track, I would remove the filter, install the RF Bellmouth, and flash the bellmouth tune. There is another +25whp if you have a at least a 103mm throttle body.

Does the RF Bellmouth use any kind of filter?

I'll assume that's a no. Looking at the size of the debris around my Big Gulp, the RV seems like a questionable product, but each to his own.

Isn't the filter mount bell-mouthed already?... It's been a while since I pulled mine off. I realize I think you guys are talking about ADDING a bell-mouth, but again - I thought it was already bell-mouthed. I remember JLS, apparently, went faster with a Pray bell-mouth.

With my luck, I'd ingest a small rodent at about half track. Lol

If you take the filter off you need the bellmouth to straighten the airflow to the maf or it won't run right. Also need to adjust maf tune for it.
