I need fronts. GM OEM fronts looks like it's $1,150 shipped. A Giro disc kit F/R with pads cost $2850? How has the pad wear been with the slotted? Are there lots of pad choices? feel?

One thing to keep in mind is the OEM rotors come with Top hats. The Girodisc are more expensive to start but once you have the hats. You only need to replace the rings... at least for the first couple years.

I was wondering if you can get just the rings with OEMs? I'm having a hard time finding them, if they exist.

I buy DBA rotor rings, originally off KNS but lately from Amazon. It's a pretty easy swap of the rotor hat.

Do I need to buy new studs or can I re-use the old ones?

You can reuse the bolts, DBA includes new nuts. KNS also sells a kit with all the hardware for $30 a wheel.

Go with RacingBrake instead and keep your larger OEM front rotor size and add cooling veins.

They are $1,500 for rotors and hats and then I believe more like $1000 for the just the rotor rings.

KNS doesn't offer them because you can get them straight from RacingBrake.

I unfortunately bought the Girodisc fronts from KNS thinking they had all the options... That was a mistake
