Can you post a photo? My 2SS 6 speed is supposed to be built this week. Shadow Gray to match my ‘19 Grand Sport 7 speed. Hoping to keep both rest of my life (hoping for another 20 years or so!). No matter what I am almost certain the last of my gas powered And Stick Shift New vehicle purchases, sadly. Tesla gave me a Model S sedan for 2 days to try out. It has as much soul as the last electric golf cart I drove. I was bored to tears with it.

Hello all, first post. I think my order number is CGBZ17, is that correct? I ordered back in November 2022. I tried checking on this number at chevy.com chat but they say it doesn't exist. The order was placed with a Canadian dealer but it would be built in the US so should be in the US system? Is it possible to check on this DC?

Hello all, fortunate enough to be joining the Camaro SS 1LE club soon! Just ordered a Sharkskin Metallic 1SS 6M and can't wait for it to get to my dealer Parkway Chevrolet in Tomball, Texas who had 3 allocated! Just put the workbench in 2 weeks ago and have a code of CQKD0G. Appreciate the help tracking! My salesman seems on it so hopefully it gets here in the next couple months.

The only thing that is the same on your workbench vs. the one my dealership provided to me is the very top "GM Order WORKBENCH" banner.
FYI - This is nothing like the OrderWORKBENCH my salesman provided me with.
Looks like the salesman provided you with the configuration part of the workbench, and not the order part of the workbench. Call the salesman and demand a Preliminary Order Detail - Order Workbench

The next line after the top banner on that workbench should read: "Preliminary Order Detail - Order #******
That would be your order number. Configuration # and Order # are two different things. Looks like you were given half the information on your workbench.

Thank you. This is what I was afraid of. I'm wondering if they have been sitting on my order for 5 months without actually submitting it?

I called my dealer and asked for a new workbench print out, so thank you for the info. Without it I wouldn't have known that my workbench was incomplete. I think what happened was I was in there late on a Friday and the guy who actually does the ordering was gone for the day so I got the preliminary workbench that didn't have the actual order number on it. It looks like they did actually order it 163 days ago and are just waiting for an allocation, which if previous years are any indication, they will get a ZL1 allocation for the 2023 model year.

Sorry, but DC has stated many times in this thread that he does not have the capability to check on Canadian orders.

Thanks. I honestly didn't read all 5400 posts here. Once I got the correct order number I got an update from chevy.com.

Great! Now you have to pressure the sales manager to use your build on his next allocation. Being at "priority 1" for 163 days means that the dealership either has never gotten a ZL1 allocation, he used his ZL1 allocation on his stock, or he used it on another ZL1 order. Your ZL1 allocation order should have come first. Saying he'll get another ZL1 allocation this model year leaves another 2 month window for him to put in your order. 6 months to allocate an order is beyond ridiculous!
I started getting angry after waiting 4 months with no movement on my order. The time was quickly approaching that the dealership I was using might not get my order in and they'd leave my order unfulfilled.
I get the GM employee discount and found that my dealership was moving my orders "priority 4" (3 orders ahead of me) around and giving allocations to orders that came after mine because the dealership doesn't stand to profit quite as much from employee discount orders. After busting them for "working around" using an allocation for my order the sales manager magically found an allocation for my build within a week. My vehicle TPW is this week.
I really find it hard to believe that after waiting over 4 months your dealership hasn't gotten a single ZL1 allocation to use on your build.
When it comes to Camaro's some dealerships want to maximize their profit so they order for their stock first so they can mark it up. Then they'll leave customer orders hanging. This is why it's so important to find a dealership that's putting you first.
