I’d post your order number in the order tracking thread and ask DC if he can check the status. You can also chat with Chevy chat and ask them.

An order picked up at 2000 status would have been built by now. My order was put in after GM went not back to work in early Jan after the Christmas shutdown. It sat until early March before it moved and was built the week of the 27th.

So I ordered a 2SS 1LE 6pd towards the end of February 2023 with the Chevrolet dealership in the dealership group I work for. I'm a Virtual Business Manager for the entire group and I placed my order knowing I would have some wait time but now I'm concerned about my order not being accepted by the scheduled June cutoff. I thought 4 months for acceptance should be more than enough time but am I wrong? I pretty sure I wouldn't want to redo another order for a 2024 but Idk...

It is kind of strange that you would post this exact same comment in three different threads. What do you expect to get out of it, with out any real question that any one could answer? My suggestion is to start a new thread for a discussion. Thanks.

I'm new here but been reading a lot on here. Info is great. Hate that Becky is no longer around to help with the passionate Camaro ppl. I just ordered a 2023 ZL1 about 3weeks ago. Waiting on allocation. Anyone else still waiting for ZL1s to be built. I hear the ZL1 1LEs are in huge back order and not being built yet maybe at all. Also any decisions over 2024 camaros should a person wait or just order 1 while they can possibly get 1 still.

If you can get what you want now (model and options), you need to pull the trigger.

Final order submission week for 2023 is 06/15/2023.
Order submission window for 2024 opens 06/15/2023.
2024 allocations start 06/29/2023.
Last production of 2023 is 08/03/2023.
Start production of 2024 in 08/07/2023.
Final order submission for 2024 closes TBD/2023.
Last production of 2024 in 01/TBD/2024.

2024 = Low supply, high demand, limited allocation, shortened build cycle with reduced options.

I finally pulled the trigger and order a ZL1. I called 9 different dealerships before I found one with allocation and that would accept GM discount. Wish me luck they said it would be about 3 months, which is how long it took for my Tahoe last year when I ordered from them. Is that about how long it’s been taking for you guys?
Black, M6, red seat belts I didn’t wanna order anything with CF because I hear that’s holding up a lot of cars.

Thank you for this info, it is much appreciated.

I actually placed an order for a 2023 back in September of 2022 and it's still waiting to be accepted by GM when I last checked with them on Monday.

Thinking worst case scenario, but is there a scenario where someone's car does not get built even though the order's been placed for months? When should I start to get worried that my car won't be built since last production is only 4 months away? Essentially, what I'm asking is, will all 2023 orders be built eventually? I don't mind waiting as long as it gets built.

Thanks

No, your order won’t get built unless your Dealer gets an allocation so GM accepts the order. Find another Dealer or reorder as a 2024 in June and hope they get an allocation.

Its upto anyones guess. Have you asked your dealer on when they sold their last ZL1 and how many allocations they received in the last 6 months to get an idea. I placed my order with three different dealers last fall and it took 6 months for the order to be picked up with one of the dealers.

I ordered a LT1 on Feb 11. It arrived yesterday at my dealer. They are applying the spider stripes today. I will pick it up tomorrow. Total wait time was less than 10 weeks!

WELL! Ordered 3/14 a fully optioned 2SS 1LE and now it is supposed to get down here next weekend...WOW! Original ETA was 5/10-5/15 and now 4/30. Even the dealer said they had never seen an order get delivered so fast even pre-covid. So very lucky over here! What's better is I may be taking delivery on my birthday!

How long will it take for dealers to get allocation for ZL1, waiting patiently for a month and have no patience left
