wonder how long it would take for somebody to catch those.

I ordered a set of motion raceworks LT valve covers and coil mounts.
they wont work with the mighty mouse setup.
debating on dumping it and putting motion race works can on instead.
will get the tune figured out before i change anything else right now.

well, did not last long. Cam swap roughly 12 months ago.
picked up a new 2.9 whipple for price I couldn't refuse.
sad part, wasn't even looking for it, went to a local shop to pickup a front timing cover for a 440 Mopar, walked out with a whipple.

so round 2, or 3, need to stop counting.

Took the car to a local shop to baseline the current setup (wish I would have done this before all mods).

Hot 85 degree FL day and after a 1.5 hr drive. Car put down 690 to the wheels.
pretty solid and plenty safe on the tune. can tell its running out of blower up top.

https://youtu.be/QR6oNtKQ2UE

waiting for a different pulley for the whipple to show up.
Whipple 2.9
Ktech 103
Big Gulp

should go quick, wish I could start this weekend but family obligations, will have to wait a couple weeks.

side note, will have a LT4 supercharger, ported snout to a 95MM, and a standard RotoFab available in Florida if anyone is interested.

Whipple was pretty quick shipping, pulley and throttle body adapter arrived...
Should not take long to swap it this weekend, then catch up with the tuner.

see if this get me another 75-100whp. guessing I will be back on 93 pump as I dont see the fuel system keeping up on ethanol, could be wrong.

May need a low side, but regardless it's a sweet build!

going to see what the JMS and factory pump will dish out.

Fuel upgrades are next year, in tank setup and either injectors or port plates.

Too bad you already scored this 2.9, I have one with port injection mods just sitting around needing a new home..

Car sounds sweet, did you have to prime the motor with oil any special way before the first fire up? Where did you find the service manual?. Im planning on doing a cam swap maybe a BTR cam with supporting mods and Katech oil pump.

Initial fire up wasn't anything crazy, used assembly lube on all the parts.
oil pressure was up quick and I was looking for any leaks and burping the coolant tank.
With the fuel system priming itself the first crank was extra long as well, more time for the pump to charge etc...

I paid the $20 for AC Delco TDS for a few days and downloaded all the manuals, well worth the money.

Well, that didn't last long, change of plans. going to sell the new Whipple 2.9.
going to send stock blower off for porting, Fore triple pump and to high port injection plates.

firm up the fuel system before I max it out. be nice to just fill up on E85 vs. testing and doing the math each time.

so new, whipple 2.9 for sale. will post in classifieds, but pm in interested.
