Door dings-
Love ‘em’ or leave em? Just looking for your thoughts and experiences. Found a few after pulling the car cover several weeks ago. Garaged all winter. So it’s my kids, found two fairly minor dings behind the driver door on quarter panel, 10 and 2 above the rear tire. Can’t get behind them with my hand. All suggestions welcome. May just leave them, not sure. What have you done?

Find a good paintless dent removal guy and some way to keep the kids from doing it again. Like hanging pool noodles over the cover during the off season.

Yeah kids right?! PDR, basically suction from the front or bump out from behind, correct? Can’t get to it from behind, wheel well and interior panel covering. Super small like a hail dent. PDR able to get those? Of course I can visit my local shop just checking others similar experiences:

It may be possible to get at them from the trunk with the side wall lining removed. I can’t say for sure. All I can say is I have to give huge props to the PDR tech that worked on my car two weeks ago. I had a small dent on the upper hip crease (on both sides of the crease)…passenger rear quarter. Looked like small branch came down on it. Sent the guy a text with a pic, he asked me what kind of car, told me $200 and he was at my house shortly thereafter. He asks me to pop the trunk (I thought he was going to suction initially). So, now that I know he’s going at it from the inside, I pulled the battery access piece. I kid you not, it took the guy 5 minutes to pull his tools out and set up. It took another 5 minutes for a perfect repair. I was in shock…looked at him and said, here’s your $200, that was awesome!

The pool noodle is a good idea for garage parking.
I use the fishing line and tennis ball when I used to park my old Suburban and now my truck. |

My kids garage activities are strictly limited. If my car is parked in the garage, the kids stay out.

There is a body shop that I have used several times, so I trust them. Had a huge door ding a couple years ago. They fixed it for like $100 and it's like it never happened.
