As long as you use the same fluid spec with the friction modifier, it'll be good.

But there have been 0 ZL1 diff's exploding from using the OEM or alternative OEM spec fluid with the friction modifier.

Manual says 1.2 qt for ZL1 Vert, is it wrong??

It's 1.2 for the convertible. Where'd you get the 2.25 from? The coupe doesn't even take that much, the coupe takes 1.6

That RP MaxGear is what I put in my car a few months ago. Drain plug was covered in gook and gunk and sludge at just a few thousand miles. I couldn't get the AC Delco in time for when I had wanted to get under the car.
