Pump ethanol content
Since my ethanol and aux fuel kits are up and running, I went to the yellow pump and topped off the 50-60% blend already in the tank which was already half full. Tuner says safe to run up to 80%. Curious as to what the actual content was at the pump, I returned the following day with a 5 gallon jug in the back of my truck. When I tested it I found that it was not on the scale but probably around 50-60 percent straight from the pump. I figured it would be low as the pump only states that it’s above 50 percent. Will probably buy E85 by the drum from Sunoco or VP and mix my own at that ratio if it’s cheaper.
With the ethanol and no cats the exhaust smell is greatly reduced. Might just leave the cats off. |

It varies depending on the station and sometimes even which part of the year. I've got three local E85 stations to me, all of them test at 80% or above year round.
$5.29 per gallon??? Wow that's expensive, its $3 per gallon here. |

Where I live our pumps have full e85 in the summer and around e50 in the winter. As of a couple days ago we are still on e50. I’m watching to see when it switches over to full e85.

In our area the E varies from 65% winter to E78-90 in the summer depending on which pump you go to. We have E stations everywhere...it's a beautiful thang!

I topped off the other day and had to adjust my blend. Summer mix is in and seems to be sitting at 75% here in NC. At least where I'm at.
