Requesting Red Hot Carbon insert hood photos

Hi fellas, trying to decide on the carbon weave in the hood. Anyone have any photos on their car? Red hot is a plus. Thanks

There are several here:

CF wasn't available when I bought my car in early 2017, so I have Mosaic Black. The spousal-unit was kind enough to approve the extra $1k cost if I really wanted to get the exposed CF insert and swap it out. But I took a liking to the Mosaic Black Metallic, as it matches the rest of the trim. CF insert is all alone on the car and kinda wrecks the balance of the red hot and black look. No regerts.

Yea most of the photos on that post are not close enough to get a good idea. I’m with you on it being the only carbon on the outside of the car. Trying to get a better look before I place the order

I would get the exposed carbon fiber insert if I was ordering a new Camaro! It looks good in my opinion with every exterior color offered. To me it adds a little something extra to the look of a ZL1.

My car is mosaic black metallic but I think these photos should give you a good idea how the exposed CF insert looks on the car.

I'm in full agreement with LT4Greg in that the exposed CF looks great with any color. Plus the cost of the option when ordered with the car is a no brainer in my opinion.

Wow hawk, wish my ZL1 was as clean as yours is. This weather we have had in the South lately hasn’t been too good. Rain and pollen season now.

My ZL1 has been in storage since November. I can't wait to get back to Ohio so I can drive it.

As you well know, it's almost a full-time job keeping a black car looking clean. I have a love/hate relationship with my ZL1. Love it right after I wash it. Hate it 15 min later because it needs washed again.

The photos I posted were taken in 2017 right after paint protection film and a ceramic coating were applied by Esoteric Fine Auto Finishing out of New Albany, Ohio. That's why it looks so clean.

How much does the option cost? I got mine for $795 from Hendrick when they were replacing the hood scoops for the Hertz ZL1's. The car had some ridiculously low mileage on it, I think it was 27 miles or so. I would have ordered it for my ZL1 but they were on constraint, as was the CF dash panel. I got the CF dash at GM Parts direct for $250 and the "Performance" arm rest for $180. Did the ceramic myself and had the PPF done along with some stripes. Here it is at the Camaro Nationals last year, taking Gold Prize in Heartbeat Class.
