Looking to install Hurst short shifter on my 2023 ZL1 6 speed. Has anyone done it to their car and did you find a huge improvement from the original one? Especially eliminating issue with shifting to the 2nd gear. I heard that installing this shifter potentially eliminates this issue. Please share your opinion.

ZL1's and 1LE's come with a factory short throw shifter, change your transmission fluid to Royal Purple Synchromax and enjoy grind free 1-2 shifting.

Doing a hurst short throw on my car. Hurst shortens the throw by 40%. Lets round it up and say it shortens the throw in half. I see two standpoints on it. “Its not necessary” from people who dont have it and people who do have it, love it. Only negative it see is the difficult install that requires dropping the trans a bit

I believe 1le's and zl1's come with gm's short throw but it's only 8% if I recall. Hurst is much more, I've been wanting to do this for years, but install always scares me away lol

I did mine when the engine and trans were out of my car. Its a pretty nice upgrade over stock ZL1 1LE. I dont think its worth the effort if you arent already pulling the trans though
