I ordered a ZL1 in February. Not 1LE, not PDR.
So far, no progress in the status. Dealer has a reputation for Camaro allocations, but who knows? I'm not inclined to roll the order over into 2024. By then, I will be thinking hybrid Corvette. |

That is the question you need to ask your dealer so you dont waste your time.

It really depends on the dealer. I ordered one at a dealer and still didn't have an allocation as of a month ago (there were a few people in front of me). Ordered one from a local dealer who told me it would take months if not a year, and they ended up getting an allocation in 2 weeks. However, they ended up making a laughable offer on my SS 1LE so I just kept the 1LE.
I still have my order at the initial dealer and told them to push it to a 24.

I say order it EXACTLY the way you want. Worst case scenario, you settle for something already ordered from another dealer.

Your dealer has no idea if he will get an allocation for a ZL1 next month, because there is no fixed number of allocations available from month to month. If you want a build-to-order car, your best bet is to place orders at multiple, high volume dealers. I had my BW on order with three dealers in three different regions. At the time I placed my order, they were the 1st, 2nd and 5th dealers with the most number of BW allocations. Still took 18 months to get a car. I actually got my car before the finance manager at the GM Dealership where I bought my Camaro. And we ordered in the same month.

Congratulations in advance, while you have your order in , just a suggestion don't rule out looking on Chevrolet.com to see what's in transit or already delivered to a Dealer.
Happy Motoring soon

I see them daily for grabs on ZL1 FB groups brand new in the low 70k range.

Well "shafted" is not how I would describe my situation if the car doesn't get built. Not many ZL1's get built, and if I don't get one to my specs, so what? Lots of other options for next year.

Good thing about the Procharger and other mods I did they are easily reversible. Can sell the lt4 fueling stuff for good money and my buddy wants to buy the Procharger. Definitely not gonna break even but shouldn’t get hurt too bad. The catch can, jms, flex fuel, ported throttle body and cosmetic mods can go on the new car. The biggest expense I had that I won’t be able to recoupe is ppf and ceramic coat. Might help slightly with the trade value though. |
