Rear Exhaust Fascia

I apologize first off if this has been discussed before, could not find it!!

I was wondering other Members Opinions and thoughts regarding Chevrolet's use of a Grain Finish on the Rear Exhaust Valance VS a GLOSS FINISH on the 2016?

I have on ORDER a 2023 LT1and do not care for the for this finish at ALL

I see it is still the GLOSS FINISH on the ZL1's

Seems to me CHEVROLET was cutting COST on our Cars!!!

You cannot compare a ZL1 Rear Exhaust Fascia to others since it's completely different. NPP Dual Mode Exhaust equipped LT1's & SS's get the plastic unpainted grain finish since 2019. Big downgrade from the gloss black on 2016-2018 cars. 1LE's still get Satin Black Rear Exhaust Fascia's. Sadly if you want a painted panel you'd have to buy one aftermarket, or you can buy one from a 2016-2018 Camaro either new from an Online GM parts store or used from here or eBay.

Thank you Blue Phoenix for Explaining!

So that being said can you swap a 1LE Rear NPP EXHAUST FASCIA onto a LT1 NPP Exhaust Equipped Camaro?

I'm sure you can however it's may be a pain you may have to remove the rear bumper to install it correctly. I'm sure there are installation guides here or video's on YouTube. I would check into those so you know what you'd be getting yourself into unless you had your dealer do the work.

I have this on my 22. Ground Effects Kit in Black for SS Models with Quad Exhaust tips. Part No. 84116167. Includes front splitter, side rocker panel moldings and rear diffuser. For use with SS models with quad exhaust tips. That rear diffuser that came with it on mine was a No go, so I added this to my order. Youtube Raiti's ride has a picture of this diffuser on his Vivid Orange 22 review.

Just as a side note, the 2019+ rear bumpers are structurally different from 2016-2018 counterparts, it's possible to swap them but there's a bit more to it than a plug-and-play installation. Our fellow member The Maverick did a similar conversion, here is his thread with some details: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=608035

The good news is that the diffusers appear to be swappable between the '16-18 and 19+ cars, at least on the non-ZL1 trims per my experience. My de-freshed sixth gen has a 2018 SS rear bumper cover with my factory 2021 RS diffuser mounted on it. As suggested above, it may be as simple as ordering a new 2016-2018 SS diffuser from GM (making sure to get the style that matches your exhaust system - NPP or non-NPP). The not-so-simple part is the apparent need to remove the entire rear bumper cover to swap diffusers - but I'd say it's worth it to get the look that you want!

Don't forget about the rear parking and cross traffic sensors, though, having to mess with cutout sizes is a PITA in my book. I have a 2SS that comes with them, and I know OP's LT1 does not, but I thought we should be forthcoming for the sake of other (future) readers.
