Pretty sure they said ICE until 2030 with a refresh in 2027

Looking forward to another Camaro 'Vert in the next few months, no interest in a C8.
There are a lot of things to like about the C8, but I agree that the front and the rear just don't flow together. I'm still up in the air about whether I like the way it looks or it's just meh. I definitely liked the C7's looks.

To answer the OP's question without being sarcastic (hard for me), if I weren't pissed at GM and I had to choose I would buy a ZL1 1LE over the C8.

Easy answer for me, C8 is out of the question, I can't get in and out of the damn thing!!! Friend has one, thought I was going to need the jaws of life to extricate me! LOL!!!

Too many spine surgeries, Camaro is as much as I can struggle with.

Still a manual guy plus I can get a new zl1 with 650 hp for the price of a 2lt stingray so I don’t even have to think about which one I’d choose.

Just sold my C8 for a 1LE. Been a long time manual guy and the C8 was my attempt at going modern with a DCT. Tried it for a year and a half. The car had the looks I wanted but was boring to drive unless I was speeding all over town. Given it was my daily driver I just had to go back to a manual. Ordered a 1 LE and had it now 3 months. Couldn't be happier. That being said, if the Lotus Emira is still an option in a couple years I'll probably go for that in a manual. For now though I'm loving my 1LE

Want an eray since I previously wanted a NC1 NSX, but don’t want to give up track performance of the ZL1 1LE I currently have. Not like you can test drive a car on the track before you buy it.

ZL1 is King of the Kings ...It will be remembered as the best Camaro ever!! Its a shame its doesn't get the respect it deserves. There will be better Corvette's in the future ..but no better Camaro's then ZL1 ..So I would take ZL1

truth
how many people here just gripe because Chevrolet doesn't add more horsepower like dodge, when the dodge is an inferior car to begin with.

I vote Camaro simply because you can get a Corvette later but you cannot get a Camaro later and the Camaro is just a really amazing car and you should not miss out on it.

Like some others on here, I think the vette is plain ugly. The wheels on the base models are atrocious. The wheel designer should be fired! Several of the colors arent all that great either IMO, particularly the caffeine brown and the Elkhart Blue....maybe its the car that makes those colors ugly though . Still, I'd take a ZO6 over a ZL1-1LE just because its supposed to be better on the track and the body mods are an improvement on the looks. I wouldnt own a regular C8 under any circumstances.

As much as I've wanted a Corvette for many years, I'd opt for the ZL1, I think as it is the type of car I've had off/on for years & love the raw horsepower that we've craved in muscle cars. My wife has alsohad f-bodies T/A & Camaros since early 1980s & I offered to get a really clean 1997 Corvette, that was only a year old, but she opted to stay in her Camaros.

I much prefer the styling of a ZL1 and it’s manual transmission offered over any C8. If it’s a gift, I’m taking the C8 Z06, selling it, buying a manual ZL1 and banking the difference.

I drove the C8 Z51 at a track in vegas for my birthday. To be honest my SS felt faster and sounded better. I don't know if its because manual vs auto, the power delivery, or the engine being up front. The c8 does handle exceptionally well, but its quite peculiar how far front you're sitting. Even in a Porsche it doesn't feel that way. Definitely wasn't used to that and the rear engine setup. Funny thing is I wanted this for my birthday for a couple years and by the time I was gifted it the c8 z06 came out. The track didn't have it in inventory yet, so it wasn't an option.
I don't recommend going to those tracks because the base price is 5 laps and that isn't enough seat time so its a waste of money. They take you around the track in an SUV for 2 free laps which isnt a great preview of the track, especially sitting in the backseat. Also the instructor I had was horrible.
I do recommend the Porsche Experience Center. This was a much more rewarding experience where you learn the dynamics of the car, so when you hit their track its much more fun. Also had an excellent instructor there who was an autox champ for many years.
