Jack stand placement (rear) question
Can I place the jack stand on the yellow highlighted portion below? I don’t have space to pull my jack stand to the left a little in order to place it directly on the pinch weld (which is what I read to use for the jack stands) due to my jack being in the way/wide. I wasn’t sure if whatever that piece is, can support the weight of the car. Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn’t try anything other than the pinch welds, there’s some plastics back there that can crumble iirc

Thanks. I guess what I will have to do then is to uninstall my rear lift pads. Right now, it’s installed all the way to the right closest to the rear tire). If I remove them and install them all the way to the left, I’ll have space to put a jackstand to the right of it and not have to worry about whatever that metal piece is that I highlighted.

I've been putting my jack stands over that bolt (not on the yellow like a pinch) to where the sides of the jack stand top touch either side of that bolt. No issues
There's an image on the forum somewhere with highlighted jack points

Thanks. I just rewatched the lethal video where he shows where to put the stands and he also showed putting the stands over that bolt that’s parallel to the line I drew. When I watched it a few days ago, that made me nervous but after examining that area I think it’s fine and you also said you have not had any issues doing that. Glad I don’t have to remove my lift pads because I lock tighted them on a few years ago.

You put a jack stand under that pinch weld and it'll fold right up. YOu would need a jack puck with a slot in it to make that work. Buy yourself a $30 set of jack pads off Amazon and install them. They work perfectly this. |

I actually bought rubber covers for the jack stand top with a slot built in it in order to avoid bending the pinch welds. |
