Can an order be changed after it’s been accepted
Does DC or anyone else know if an order can be changed after it’s been accepted but not given a TPW? A few weeks ago his order was accepted by GM but since then decided that he would rather have the body lines of the roof instead of the sunroof. My buddies dealer says it can’t be changed at this point. His order is CNMQ7X.

I have seen it done, but only by people who knew people. And all the people I knew are retired...

Technically yes, it could get pushed back to 1100 status though if I remember correctly. You need to contact your dealer ASAP if you want to change something but if they say they wont do it then you are out of luck. What is he wanting to change?

When I ordered my car last year, my salesman said that once they put the order in on that Friday, I could make any changes I wanted until the following Tuesday once GM formally accepted the order, but after that it was locked in. As has been said, it might technically be able to be done, but it seems like there would be a lot of hurdles to jump through, and it may not be worth the hassle.

I think as long as it is not higher than 2000 status it can be changed. If it’s at 3000 it’s probably too late.

Get on the chevy website and chat with them. Sooner the better. All you need is your order number. I tried to get my order changed, but the car was already built.
