Question Hail Protection options for Camaro?

Considering most of you will say to throw it in a garage or get covered parking, I want to start this off by saying my car is fine at home. My main concern is while I'm at work. I'm in North Texas and hail season is starting. My job doesn't have covered parking. Most of the time it won't be sitting in bad weather, but sometimes nature may surprise you.

I have an idea of throwing moving blankets or something under a waterproof car cover. It wouldn't go on my car every day... just on days when the weather may get bad and I just so happen to not work from home. I'm wondering if you all know of any good car covers that can also fit some cushion underneath? Or if you guys have any other recommendations?

I've looked on https://hailprotector.com/ but I think that needs constant power, which won't be in my job parking lot.

I should have looked closer. That's indoor use only. Sorry.

I do have a California Car Cover that I used in Florida when I had to keep a Roush Mustang outside. It's fairly thick and I would think it would protect against hail as long as it's not golf ball plus size. It actually fits my Camaro.

For what it's worth up in Il. a lot of guys keep bubble wrap under their car cover. We sometimes have a 2 day show.

Doesn't mean you can't just lay an outdoor cover right over the indoor padded cover.
Best of both worlds.

Ive done a bit more digging and found this bad boy: https://carcover-us.com/products/hai...tection-detail . Just from looking at it, I know it would protect my car from hail, but man that price is steep. I spoke to a customer service representative there for the Camaro size and I was told:
—————————————
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in our products.

A complete protection hail cover of the largest thickness will become very bulky - larger than most washing machines. Do not machine clean! It is usually cleaned as it is placed on the vehicle.

You can order size XL. We are the manufacturer of this cover and will make it just right.

—————————————

When I asked for more clarification on drying it, I was told to just air dry it. I’ve looked at the updated options for this thread. I don’t think I’d be using it too often so I’m wondering if the hassle of bubble wrap under another good quality cover may be worth it for the cheaper price

My two cars are outside covered with a water proof cover and carpet padding under that. Should do good up to golf ball size I’m thinking. Might be a hair cumbersome to get it to the office if you can store it there. Just my two cents.
