Todd Sutherland beat Dennis Fichtner's best price by a good margin on my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport about a year ago when I extended my warranty. Him and Dennis are the "go to Chevy warranty guys" on the Corvette Forum. I was advised to wait until just before the factory 3/36 expired. They need your VIN and current mileage to give you a quote.

I've purchase 2 from Dennis so far, on the '15 vette I waited until the last month of the 3/36 chevy warranty. He really is the best and easiest to buy from. Don't forget to sign up for My Chevrolet Rewards to get points for your purchase.

Has anyone recently purchased an extended warranty? I just purchased my ZL1 and was looking to purchase the warranty now rather than waiting. The current quote is $1631 for 84 months and 70k miles. I am curious as to the difference waiting for three years.

So my understanding is that unless the car is still with in the 36/36 time frame GM is no longer writing extended warranty’s.

I had an extended Zurich warranty on my 2015 Wrangler Freedom Edition. I can’t speak as to how they are with “warranty work”, because I sold the Wrangler before it needed any warranty work. However, I can say that I called Zurich customer service, when I sold my Jeep, and I got a prorated portion of the warranty returned to me, since I had never used it, and they returned nearly the full price that I paid. That was pretty reputable to me. Best of luck!

Ford Premium Care goes up a little after the first year or 12,000 miles. But buying early, you really don't get much other than a rental car. If mine goes in shop, I don't need a loaner and I'll keep my money for the almost 3 years. At that point I'll decide if I'm keeping it and buy an extended warranty at that time.

Does GM offer this extended warranty of the ZLE?

My dealer said they do not.

I've bought from Dennis on my GMC sierra. Dealer wanted 2400 for something he sold to me for way less.

I've used it a few times too. It's the real deal, but you have to stay stock that much longer

Leonard,

Did you consider waiting until closer to the time your factory warranty runs out? I did the same thing like you and purchased a 84 month/70,000 mile warranty for my ZL1 but am questioning if I should cancel and wait until the 34th month. I would have the ZL1 under a warranty for 34 months longer but it would probably cost about $1k to $1.5k more.

I am probably overthinking but wanted to pose the question to someone who recently purchased the GMEPP with a recent delivery.

The only reason I didn’t wait was because there is a 1,000 mile waiting period from the mileage at time of warranty purchase, for the warranty to take effect, if you don’t buy the warranty within 10 days of purchasing the car. I wasn’t sure that I would ever get to 1,000 miles, so that is what made my decision for me.

Just don’t let the 36 months expire. They stopped writing them when the 36 month expires.

Hey all -

I just called Laurel Chevy to ask Dennis and was told he's no longer there and they no longer do warranty sales.

I have an email into Todd at MacMulkin. Will update with what I hear.

Are there any other warranty sales folks like them out there that I can try?
