I’ve had one installed for about 6 months and really like it. Drove a buddies ZLE with a stock shifter last weekend, which was my first opportunity for a back to back comparison. The stock ZL1 shifter is smoother and almost effortless, while the Hurst is shorter throw, more direct, but requires more effort.
I installed mine using a lift and it was about a four hour job. Dropping the exhaust and driveshaft is a bummer. I feel the upgrade was worth the work. For what it’s worth I occasionally drag and track the car and the shifter has been flawless. |

Do you have a 1/4" to 1/2" play when its in neutral and not in gear?
