I’m not sure what your point is here. It’s an easy job so shops should be doing it for cheap? Shops exist to make money. It’s fine if you don’t want to tackle the work yourself but complaining that having somebody else do it is too expensive is silly.

I agree with this post, read some of the Threads on here , newest on Nickey Performance saved my car , and others shops screwing up the cars , K tech is one of the few shops in the Country that is respected and worth paying what they charge , others Nickey Performance, Janetty Racing Performance, Cordes , Hennessy and others. You have one of the premier shops in your area , pay the extra , I'm sure the OPs of the nightmare shop threads , could go back in time would of. Az just a skip an a jump from Michigan.

it's an easy swap. the fuel line does not get disconnected and disconnecting the brake line at the junction along the bottom of the driver side shock tower makes removal easy because you can do it on the bench and not cramped in the engine bay, leaned over the car.

i swapped manifolds about 10 times when i had the camaro. it is by far the easiest manifold swap i have ever done on any domestic v8. just be careful with the vacuum lines. you need a solution for the vacuum port that points up to the driver side on the LT2 manifold.

I appreciate everyone saying its easy, but with every person that says its easy to do there's always a warning that goes a long with it.

Or so it seems, be careful of this, watch for that.

:/

Taking things apart is easy, its putting them back together that scares the shit out of me

Lots of smaller shops in SE Mi that would do it. You ever get ahold of Steve? I’m in Chesterfield area, have a big garage, lift, tools. I could help ya out with it. There’s quite a few 6th gen guys on this side of town. Just throwing it out there

Organization is key when working on cars. Label everything, put bolts, nuts, etc. into baggies or tape them in place on the removed part.

I have faith in you! Don't overthink it, you can totally do this.

Like I mentioned earlier, having some pages from the service manual will give you additional confidence. And if you prefer video walkthroughs, there are several on YT.

There's an old saying, "Penny wise dollar foolish."

Not yet, I'll probably give him a call tomorrow.

I used to live in Clinton Township, so familiar with the area. Just at that time I wasn't looking for performance shops.

Wow can't get no better than that. Take your neighbor up on it , or just pay one of the best shops in the country in your area Ktech, what they charge . There's nothing else here that can be said or done , by your response to people's post.

I've seen a couple of these videos, supposedly the kit I would be getting is already modified, so it should be direct fit.

Actually now that I look at it, I may still have to file down the ribs for the fuel pump if I'm saying that right.

And ya I may take him up on that. Even pay him the highest hourly a performance shop would normally make, $150/hour and a 24 pack if it would help.

Nice , I'm sure he knows what he's doing , or wouldn't of offered. But to have a nation wide shop in your back yard , Ktech , when I'm ready for mods , 4k miles round trip to transport my car is almost the price of the mods . That 24 pack is a deal maker.
