glad I put a catch can on

Had the car up in the air for something and curiosity got to me as far as how much oil my catch can caught. Had it installed around 6500 miles. Did 2 track days and a 800ish mile road trip (and some small drives here and there) and it's at 8kish miles now (so maybe 2k total since install). I wasn't expecting much as when I took my lid off at 5k miles just to see if there was any oil pooling in the SC, there was just a thin film of oil but that was it.

I am honestly shocked but in the end its between 6-7 oz of oil. Glad I installed it sooner vs later.

Oh No !! That will void your warranty.

No wait...Catch cans don't work! It's better to clean your valves after they get dirty.

You don't really need one. It's a waste of money.

I've never had to have one.

You will sell your car before it really does anything for you.

I'd keep her insides as clean as possible. That's never a bad thing! I installed my E2-X at 98 miles and I'm also glad I did. Then 90 miles later, I had a soupy looking roux in the bottom of mine. I noticed when I removed the can to install my headers and other engine parts. I started doing warranty voiding mods at 90 miles! at 188 miles (90 with the catch can) this is what mine looked like.

The amount of blowby on these motors with only 9 psi is a little concerning...but yes, everyone should be running an Elite (or MM if you prefer)

Catch can is a great idea, but on the supercharged
Motor, u have to raise the supercharger to install the
Catch can, I’m assuming if you have to lift the supercharger
To install the can fitting, u have to remove and replace the
Supercharger gaskets, not an easy job!

The supercharger gaskets are super squishy hi-tech rubber rings that fit in machined grooves. You just lift up the supercharger a couple of inches in the front. You can check the gaskets and see they if they shift, which they won't.

It's not difficult. I am, in spite of my earlier facetious post, a big fan of my catch can. The catch can, along with my Katech oil pump, are part of my long term performance upgrades for my car.

I'm a firm believer in catch cans. I was always amazed at how quickly they collect a lot of oil. I still have my Mishimoto from my last Gen6 and also have a Mighty Mouse. I will have one or the other on by the weekend.

Yeah.. gaskets are fine to re-use though I think they say you are to replace the bolts, though many do not

Out of curiosity I am guessing this isn't compatible with the ADM I/C reservoir? Looks like they are in the same space.

There are a number of places you can mount the catch can. I have mine mounted up by the radiator. Check out my video above and you can see where I have mine. I run a supercharger coolant reservoir in the normal mounted location.

Catch Cans can be mounted multiple locations! Mine is up front by the radiator.
