Like or Dislike Floor Mounted Gas Peddle?

Thoughts on whether you like or dislike the Camaro gas peddle base being mounted on the floor vs. most vehicles that have a hanging gas peddle?

Notice that the first time I cleaned it. Never really thought much about it after that Guess that means I’m fine with it. Like by default.

I’m okay with it being mounted in the floor.

Still feels a bit weird to me, like a video game controller, and particularly the "clack" you can get opening to WOT quickly. A "throwback" style gas pedal would have been fun but might not have worked as well in light of everything this digital pedal has to do...

Yeah, that's a total deal breaker. I prefer a suspended pedal. It matches my driver's license status. .

It's still electronic, unlike what we used to drive. A floor mounted pedal with a cable.

I didn't like the floor mounted gas pedal in a 14 Mazda 3 I had , it didn't work well with my ankle , but it was a great car. After that I got a focus st . I loved the hanging gas pedal it had. I could keep my heal in the same spot and slide pedal under my foot , very comfortable. Like others have said I don't have any problems with the Camaro floor mounted pedal but I think I like hanging a gas pedal best.

Not a fan of the floor pivot, the travel just feels weird to me.

I personally like the floor pivot. I don't like opening under the pedal. My old 32 Ford had a hanging pedal and never comfortable with it.

A floor-mounted pedal enables a more natural heel-toe rev match [but it's really toe on the brake then heel on the accelerator]. I first learned rev-matching on my 1970 beetle with a floor-mounted pedal.

With the modern rev-match feature on the M6 heel-toe driving has become obsolete.
