Angry 1LE vinyl hood has spots on it

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. I recently purchased a 2019 2SS camaro 1LE. I noticed the other day the vinylhood had these spots on it. The dealershipisn't really helping with it yet so before I unleash anger on them can anyone recommend anything for this or has anyone experienced this?? Name: 20190325_090103.jpg

I had spots on my matte finish stripes. Someone on C6 recommended this and it did the trick. Also, parking in the sun helped.

I hadn’t applied this in over 6 weeks due to winter weather. When I detailed and waxed last Saturday there were spots on the stripes again. I did multiple applications letting is sit in the garage for hours between. They disappeared

Vinyl applications are never a good idea, especially on top of the car. Pay a few bucks and have them painted on.

I was lucky enough to have the wrap bulging around the hood scoops so my local dealer replaced the wrap and it's never seen rain since. Car goes in for Suntek wrap in another month and then it shouldn't be an issue after that. My point being, if you can get the water spots off of it with a matte cleaner, etc then immediately get it wrapped you shouldn't have an issue anymore.

my 2022 was "in transit" for weeks, no telling what it got exposed to in that time and there are spots/smudges. have been thinking about removing it.

I went through the same thing on my 21 2SS 1LE. be polite but persistent. Apparently 3M installs the hood wraps on new 1LE'S. Took a bit, but GM and the dealer had to replace it under warranty. Dealer had to take photos, share with GM, order the new wrap, and set up an appointment at a local 3M authorized shop. Dealers I guess are not allowed to change out wraps, or least not in SW Florida. 4 local dealers said no we can't, even under warranty.

Odd thing was I had to get a piece of the old wrap and give it to the dealer to return to GM.

Another option is to rip the wrap off and enjoy the (hopefully) immaculate paint underneath.

I used to use a Magic Eraser to clean up the matte black stripes on a Roush Mustang. I try on a tiny area and see what it does.

Just get the OEM wrap removed and done professionally by a quality shop in your area which come with a warranty.

Unfortunately these cars are sitting now too long waiting on chips.

This is the worst advice. Satin will turn to gloss with a magic eraser. Do not do this, you'll need to buff the entire hood and still pray the spots wont show.

I wouldn’t use anything with any type of abrasive properties. Autogeek and several car care companies make products just for it but the factory quality vinyl is poor. I had mine removed and had it redone with a much better material and then had PPF put over it.
