I always thought waiting for allocation would be the hardest part of waiting but knowing the car is built and you're still waiting!? Ugh, that's painful. Hope she gets delivered soon!

I am Northeast Ohio about 50 miles east of Cleveland but closer to PA line. Been 4 long months of waiting and I am getting very impatient. I've been scouting the lots to see what's available but it kills me to think of not going through with a custom build.
Put a $500 deposit for MSRP on a 2SS here in Maryland on 11/22/22. A month earlier, dealers were asking for $1,000 deposit and $2,500 above MSRP. I have three other dealers in the lookout, but all tell me no 2SS allocations nationwide right now. Need it by June, so with an average build & delivery of 2.5 months, I have another month before getting really anxious. Can we get one of those spy balloons over the plant to figure out what's goin' on?

My dealer said my order is now 3100 Broadcast.

Are the codes in this thread out of date? That thread claims 3400 is Broadcast and 3100 is Order Available to Sequence.

I will FINALLY be taking delivery of my car Saturday morning. I’m calling that 3 days and a wake-up. It looks like great weather all weekend so nice enough to drive it home and get it all cleaned up.

Nice! Looks like you are a shark metallic gray fan just like me. Congrats! I got a little impatient waiting for 3 months at 1100 status and found one on the lot in Indiana! 2SS that I actually like better than the one I built, got lucky! Found it February 14th, close the deal today, and being delivered for $738 for 667 miles tomorrow!

Awesome! I’m picking mine up in the morning. Looks like a sketchy drive home though, as it’s only going to be in the 40’s. I’m a little nervous with the 1LE Goodyears.

You will be fine with temperatures in the 40s. I picked mine up one year ago tomorrow in similar conditions. That will give you a chance to take it easy and put some break in miles on the car.

Can't wait to see some pictures. Enjoy your drive. Hope everything goes smoothly at the dealership.

You should be fine as long as it is not raining. The tires do break away from the pavement very easily in colder weather but you don't want to be gassing it during the break-in period anyway. You should be fine.

Well, that was the easiest dealership visit I’ve ever had. Russel at Criswell in Gaithersburg, MD really did a great job through this entire process. I literally could have just walked in, grabbed my keys and left. But I sat and we chatted for a little bit. I’ll definitely work with him in the future. The car was great all the way home. Some nice easy miles, and I can tell this car is going to be a lot of fun, especially when the break-in is finished. We put the first 205 miles on it this morning, keeping a lot of distance from other vehicles on the road. I can’t believe it’s in my garage. Now it’s time for a clean and detail and it’ll stay inside until my rock guards and side skirts arrive and weather is proper.

Also, if anyone is in the market for a ZL1 Vert, they’ve got a beauty in the showroom, just waiting for a new owner.

That's great 👍. Now you only have another 300 miles to get to the 500 mile mark. I recommend changing the oil at 500 miles and again at 1,500 miles. I did both and changed the diff fluid at 1,500.

Yep that’s my plan. Diff is good all the way to 1500? I had it in my mind to change both at 500 and 1500.

I think most people wait until 1500 to change the diff fluid, but I've seen a few people do it at 500 too. I tried to go by the track prep guide. I think the engine oil changes are the most important. I kept the engine under 4000 rpm up to 500 miles and then I didn't worry much about how I drove the car. Honestly, the oil at 500 miles looked pretty good, but it's cheap peace of mind to change it. The diff fluid at 1500 didn't look that bad either, but again it's good to change it after break in.

I had a 225 mile drive home from the dealership so I was almost halfway to 500 just going home. It didn't take me long to get to 500. I'll have had my car one year tomorrow.
