Depends on the year of car, transmission type(M6 or A10), and modifications done to the car.

Like $800 in credits and tune prices are usually around $750 ish then if you need the HPT adapter that’s another $200-$300.

The answer is more complex than you might first think. You'll need:

1. A laptop $400, or other device such as SCT X4 powerflash $400 to record scan data and flash your maps.
2. HPTuners MPVI3 OBDII interface tool to connect your device to your car $400.
3. HPT credits, probably need two at $65/ea.
4. Most good tuners will also require a wideband like the AEM UEGO Wideband Controller Gauge $225
5. You then choose between remote tuning and dyno tuning.
6. Remote tuning: A good tuner like KingLT1 here will charge (I don't recall, so ask him).
7. Dyno tuning: The tuner's hourly fees will be the same plus a dyno will cost you around $100/hour

Well, to do a full tune of every module with HPTuners, here is the breakdown:

ECM: 4 credits
TCM: 4 credits
Unlocked TCM itself: $300
CCM: 3 credits

Credits are $50, so grand total: $850

Then cost of anything else you don't already have (laptop, mpvi).

OR, if you take it somewhere, cost of credits plus tuning fee.

In summary, it's an expensive process at the start, but becomes a lot less expensive thereafter. .

Keep in mind if you are pricing a tune by a performance shop, that customer service after the tune is critical. Stuff sometimes goes wrong or readjustments are necessary. Does the shop have a rep of standing behind their work or being one and done and forgetting about you. Similarly, if you are considering further mods down the road beyond your initial tune, how will the shop price those?

Good Chevy tuners I know provide most of what you listed and quote the price to tune an LT4 ZL1 or Z06 as a package price per map for 93, 100, E85 etc. Street, drag, road course tune, etc.

If you get tuned you do unfortunately need a wideband with gauge you can periodically check, on tuned cars I had before I prefer to keep it in glove box I hate the look of 3rd party gauges in cabin. But I don't tune my cars anymore, I can't handle the stress of no warranty on track :-)

I wouldn't take my ZL1 to anyone who didn't have a lot of proven experience tuning LT4s, with a price that is competitive with others. I recommend calling Katech, Lingenfelter, Jannetty etc and ask them what they charge per map for a standard LT4 tune.
