Decided on my trailer tie down points
After searching many of the threads here I came up with what I thought was the best solution for tie down points for trailering. I don’t have E-track so wheel tie downs won’t work. I saw some for sale through a forum vendor but I didn’t like that the front’s couldn’t be hooked and latched so they wouldn’t fall out if they became loose. After looking at all of the possibilities up front I decided I didn’t feel comfortable with any on the cast aluminum subframe chose the outside bolts for the undercarriage brace to body but used angled tabs so I could clip onto them. I didn’t want them pointing forward when the car was being driven so I made them swivel with just enough friction to keep them where I turn them.
On the rear I used the front steel subframe to body bolts. Photos below. |

Why can't you use etrack with wheel straps? I use wheel straps on my trailer and it's the best and very secured.

If I had a steel trailer I would, I even have the E-track laying around. I would rather not use it on my all aluminum trailer. The aluminum airline track isn’t strong enough.
