katech oil pump

has anybody had any experience with the katech oil pump ?, is it that much better than a stock replacement ? any comments are welcome

I can tell you my 2020 installled stock replacement lasted all of 7,000 miles! Currently at GM dealer for diag and replacement.

My understanding is simple, but what i recall is that Katech uses stronger materials and to replace some brittle components. There is no measurable change... just the removal of a weak link. It is a no-brainer when doing a cam swap IMO.

There are some older threads showing where the OEM unit cracks, and where Katech has improved the structure.
