Thus, I also searched for inbound cars on chevy.com and contacted dealers. I got a call from one of the dealers about a new 2023 ZLE that arrived somewhat by a fluke. I pounced, trading my 2018 ZLE M6. I'm glad I did, for I may not have been able to secure a new one through the regular order process. I had 29k miles on my 2018, with a fair amount of hard track usage, so I wanted a fresh ZLE for a DD and track car. I miss my M6 ZLE, but being in my 70s, it seemed prudent to get the A10 for simplicity, to go easy on my knees, and to eliminate the risk of a missed shift. Thus, I should be set as I ride off into the sunset over the next several years! :-)

Carbon dash was available...I prefer the Alcantara on the dash...that carbon is too shiny for me...if it was a dull, raw carbon fiber I would have went for it.

When I ordered nothing was on constraint that I am aware of.

I really wanted the PDR and thankfully it was available to order!

Yes. Will be 74 next month. Been doing track days on cars and motorcycles for 30 years and don't plan on stopping soon. ZL1 1LE is as much fun (and less expensive) as driving Porsches and a bunch of exotics on track. Great way to keep (feeling, at least) young!

I was able to order a new ZL1 1LE. It arrived on Tuesday last week. I ordered it in November 2022 the day after I posted this thead.

I called a couple local dealers and found one that said they might have a small chance to get one because they sold one recently. We got lucky and the order went through. Pretty stoked to say the least!

Black M6 ZL1 1LE w PDR, Nav, Red Seatbelts

I am wondering if Chevrolet is making more of these or if I just got lucky?

Have others been able to order and get a quick order pickup and delivery as well?

I did get mine at MSRP with a $500 GM Military discount applied as well.

I did a nationwide search on GMs site and it looks like there are 19 other ZL1 1LE that have been built either in transit or at dealers.

I hope everyone gets one that wants one!!!

In the back of my mind I am still wondering if GM is going to do something special for the ZL1 1LE or maybe the SS 1le...and maybe I ordered mine too soon?

What do you guys think?

I would love an SS 1le with the ZL1 1LE treatment...front and rear aero and Multimatic suspension with hard mounted parts and 60 lbs lighter...

Good luck all!!!

Congrats, it's incredible that you are able to order and get your car that quickly. Your case should be the ideal situation where you can place an order and wait a few months for the car to arrive. It's sad that some people are still waiting a year plus for an ordered car. If there's another year of Camaro, it'll just be a special paint/decals for a regular car. I hope people aren't gambling and waiting for the last year ZLE because it feels like the car will just be discontinued with no announcement.

Hi all,

I feel extremely lucky I found my ‘22 ZLE. It was a slow build due to pandemic and parts delays (copper free brakes, carbon for the wing and PDR). It was first built in Oct 21 and sat in the unfinished lot till May ‘22. But so far, not a single problem from the delayed assembly process.

I’m very glad some people are getting to have ‘23 ZLE’s, but I do agree it’s a rapidly expiring model. I too believe the ‘23 model will be the last run of the ZLE.

For those of you who can find/order one you should do so. I really see these becoming a very sought after car in the future. Many years back I could have bought a ‘66 Shelby GT350 for a very reasonable price, and look at the cost of one of those now. Not saying the ZLE will reach that plateau, but they are an exceptional car produced in very low quantities.

Get one if you can!!

JJ

I had a hard enough time getting my 23 ZL1 Convertible, I can't imagine how hard a ZLE is to get....

I have been waiting for my ZL1 1LE order since 12/24/21. In that time my dealership has gotten an allocation for 3 ZL1's and 1 ZL1 convertible. I already bought my 2022 ZL1 back in February of 2022. Still have my 1LE order in, so we will see if it ever happens. I already pretty much turned my car into a 1LE, so I don't really care now. If it happens, great, if not oh well.

Curious what dealer did you order from,in TX? I just ordered a ZLE through a Dallas area dealer. I inquired about one they had inbound on the GM locator, of course it was a sold unit. Got a call back from the fleet guy at the dealership, said he had four allocations, with one available left he could order me one would take 3-4 months. It's in the system at 1100, have no reason not to believe him guy new his stuff but looking at horror stories like yours and then others who have gotten orders for a ZLE built in a relatively short time period makes me think people are either lucky or working with dealers that know nothing.

I unfortunately ended up with the experience of the inexperienced. I live in ATX and called every dealership around the area between here and San Antonio for months trying to get an order through and am still waiting to hear back any changes from the 1100 at 2x different dealerships I have orders in with.

I went with a dealership in LV that had one available and just paid to have the car shipped over. I got impatient trying to find one here locally.

I hope your order fulfills! It will be one of the FEW made in her last run. Good luck!

Pretty grim news for the ZLE...

Talked to my dealer today...Nationwide, 15% of Camaro allocation was for ZL1, only 2% for ZLE.

I'm 3rd on my dealer list. He doubts I will get one for 2023.
