I finally got the LGX thermostat failure and am going to replace it and the thermosensor soon. None of the regular sources carry the thermostat any longer: It is "no longer available" from GM. I had to find one on eBay, and not all sellers actually have them in stock.



This is a public service-ish warning as well as a what-the-heck-is-GM-doing-now post. Has anyone thought of starting a large-scale complaint to GM about the thermostat issue? It is clearly a defective design, and failing to provide replacement thermostats is very, very not nice at all.
