just do a drain and refill with filter replacement. My car took about 6 quarts. Buy 7 and follow the procedure getting fluid to the proper temperature etc etc to get the level correct.

I ordered these. ZL1 1LEs are much smaller.

Does the ZLE come with the larger brake deflector uninstalled? I took delivery of my car and didn't see them so I'm just wondering of my dealership forgot to put them in the trunk.

Got it, I did see those on my car. For some reason, I thought the ZLE came with the larger set that you can swap in when tracking.

Yes. I did the rotation and track alignment on my 2018 ZLE and have a speed shop scheduled for doing same on my new ZLE. So, the bigger cooling deflectors are just bolt ons for our ZLEs?

Guess I gotta check whether these are already on my 2023 ZLE. I had assumed they were a factory install, not an option.

The deflectors I put a picture of in post #17 are what come with the ZLE. I forget if they're already installed or come in a bag in the trunk along with the power steering deflectors (and front license plate bracket in my case).

the little deflectors are standard issue and the big ones are an upgrade from a CTSv Blackwing...get the rear deflectors too which require three holes to be drilled into the lower control arm

I leave the 15w-50 in. Good post somewhere on www.bobistheoilguy.com with an LT4 analysis with a few thousand miles and track use. Give the engine 30 seconds after a cold start up before putting load on it, then keep the revs under 2500rpm until you get oil temp up.

Winter I use 5w-40 Dexos2 because I am starting to drive the car to the office again.

Thanks. So, I infer that the issue is NOT that Mobil 1 15w-50 isn't Dexos2 approved, but instead it's the added viscosity over the 0w-40 weight Mobil 1? In other words, if one avoids using 15w-50 in cold weather climates and allows the 15w-50 to warm up sufficiently before any spirited driving (I allow oil to warm up and I drive gently in all my cars for the first 5-10 minutes), 15w-50 should be safe year-round in Southern US climates? TIA

So, my 2023 ZLE came only with the smaller of the deflectors in this kit but not the larger ones? https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-pa...4433357?c=az0x. (BTW, the web site says this part does not fit my 2023 ZLE.)

You do not necessarily need an alignment after rotating the hats. I set up a string system in my garage to measure everything before I flipped them and then after and could not find a measurable difference. I have been tracking on that setup for almost a year and a half now. Can drives just fine. It won't hurt to have it aligned just might not be needed if it is already within spec.

I also leave the 15E-50 in full time. I drive it probably once a week around town between events just have to remember to let it warm up completely before jumping on it.

I have never removed any of the deflectors between events and have ordered the larger blackwing brake deflectors which I will leave in place as well.

When we add more front negative camber, whether it be at the camber plates or at the knuckle, the toe will move to the toe out side of the spectrum. Depending where your pre camber adjustment toe was, it is possible for the toe to be too far out.

Yes I understand the toe should change, I am just telling you what I measured when I flipped the hats. It produced rough 1 degree more of camber but the toe did not change enough that I could measure it. have been running that way for over a year.
